Grayson, Adams and now GA making cryptic comments. Hopkin storming out. Even Stuart was biting his tongue at times. Hughes was hardly enthusiastic. The only manager that towed the line with a smile was Bowyer and look what happened to him

Mark Hughes, to be fair, managed it for a full season.
But that's an extremely experienced manager right there, I think most others that would even entertain the idea of coming to City will prove incapable.
The manager effectively has to screen all of the players from the monumental problems we're faced with. He has to hide the fact that we're run by a couple of amateurs and cover for the fact all the silly social media narratives are designed for one thing: to make things look better than they really are. [I mention this because the players don't seem to want to fake smiles for the cameras when the chips are down.]
Who on Earth is going to be able to do that, and get the team firing on all cylinders?
EDIT: Further to this, the fact that Sparks seems to want a manager to come in and 'do a Parky' and control absolutely everything shows that Sparks has too big of a job on his hands and he's trying to pass too much on to the manager. It's unworkable nonsense.WilsdenBantam, Mal Content and vladimir like this. -
It's all well and good blaming the hierarchy.......which is certainly justifiable.... but it is the manager who picks the team, then decides on the tactics and formation, so he is to blame for what happens on the pitch.
If he cannot get those things right then he needs looking at, and questions asked.Edinmiarse, Craven Koppite and Jayteebee like this. -

I don't think we can underestimate the importance of the Middlesbrough bus in all honesty.
It wouldn't surprise me if that particular group either via fault or not have a big pull on this squad.
It contains the captain, the top scorer, the player of the year, and the squads Mr reliable plus others and all have a tenuous link to the head of recruitment.
There is a some big characters there and if there is a split it's bound to cause issues. It's a fairly big chunk of the squad,. coming to training, leaving training and arriving at games together. It's not a rocket scientist to work out how tongues might wag.
There is rumours around cook being billy big balls and Alexander attempting to nip that in the bud with his dropping, and it was obvious that cook and young had no love for each other in the few minutes they had in the team.
Throw in the MacDonald scenario, not always first eleven, thrust in as manager, then back to being a player. It shouldn't be a surprise that some of the decisions he made will have been some that his team mates won't have liked, now he has to fit back in to the scenario.
Clutching at straws maybe, but with the team seemingly downing tools, perhaps these are some of the issues GA is alluding to -
His background is injury prevention and he’s done this at clubs higher up the leagues.
In addition I don’t need to rely on AK, I can see it week after week with the injuries that we get that are soft tissue related.
You’ve not answered my point, is it the players bodies, preparation, training or the facilities. It has to be something, quite possibly a mixture.Bantamsteve, Gardscoigne and Mal Content like this. -

you demand people produce facts to back up an opinion.
Someone raised a genuine question about if David Baldwin would return to city ,and your flippant response was "it's not any of your business" if he does or doesn't.
You seem to be an expert in all things Kevin, what experience do you have in running a football club that allows you to cast your thoughts on all football matters?
Alway through the appointment of Alexander you were demanding and stating having interviewed thousands of people, and stated "that's not how employment and recruitment works".
Now many would argue that interviewing staff for roles at Poundland, is far different to sourcing a football manager or director of football.
So tell us, and it may well be you can quantify and In which case I'll acknowledge and speak up but, Kevin what experience do you have in running a football club that allows you to have a bigger and better opinion than anyone else.
Your response please?Bantam Boy, Bantamsteve and Ulysses S Grant like this. -

Just like it was fine after we got rid of Martin Drury, who was the previous problem according to some people.Kop View, Wakefield Bantam and Dennis like this. -
The bottom line is there clearly are things that need to be addressed, whatever they are. But alas suspect they won't be. However boring Uncle Derek was, maybe he had already identified the start of the slide. Sustainability is not providing forward investment and is why we are in a huge downward spiral. Poor GA must wonder what he has walked into. For all our sakes I hope this does all get sorted but it certainly ain't a happy place to be right now

I quote:
“There are other issues but I’m not going to talk about them now.
“I’m not going to sit here and try and highlight other things that need doing just to protect my back.
“I’m big enough to take the responsibility but I know there are a lot of things that we have to do to improve to get this club winning.”
What are the other issues you think? -
I’m just guessing that some of the issues might revolve around injuries. Maybe the physios aren’t up to the job, maybe the training pitches aren’t good enough and we know the pitch at VP is a shambles. After 7/8 years in charge you would have hoped the owner could have at least bought our own training facility. Nothing flamboyant but not on a floodplain. The inability to get out on the grass or injury inducing ground could be behind some of his frustration. What exactly has Rupp invested into this club?
