    I’d have him back but unfortunately the City he remembers behind closed doors isn’t there anymore, I think he’ll manage Scotland one day

    I liked his couple of thinly veiled digs at the club.

    “The game is changing and managers don’t have that full run of the club as they used to do years ago. There are more heads of recruitment and CEOs and you’ve got to roll with that. We had created a really good working environment, with quality dedicated staff at a good training base“.

    “It’s what happened in May and June after the play-off final when we were losing the players. That felt worse. I knew the writing was on the wall then but we still had a crack at it and enjoyed it“.
