    Although Christmas may well be postponed, I'll bet Santa Fordy will be sailing over our snow laden roofs in his merc.
    Pulled along by his trusty team of personal reindeer, wearing claret and amber scarves... spreading goodwill to all men! Don't think we'll miss the panto season much at all. :brig:

    Looking at SM comments in today T&A he brought Evans back to play up front even though he has been playing deeper for a number of years.


    “When I looked at bringing Gareth Evans in, I remember him as more of a striker for us. The more I have seen him in training, he is probably not the one who can play up there, although I have no doubts that he can.

    “But he is maybe better coming from a deeper lying role, maybe as a 10 or an attacking midfielder or off one of the sides.“

    I know SM likes to use his iPad to watch videos of players but maybe his video collection needs updating with things from the past few seasons rather than footage from 9 years ago

    What does up front mean nowadays? He probably means he wants him to operate in the front third behind a single striker? It wont be your traditional striker role as we knew in the past

    Stuart needs some PR training. I love the bloke, but he’s basically admitting that he’s brought him in to a role that he’s not really equipped to play.

    The irony was that they were not ‘mates’. It was suggested that they hadn’t met each other. Apparently they had accounts with the same bank, and Rahic sought a partner for his ‘project’ and the bank introduced him to Rupp. If it was me I would be exceptionally unhappy with the bank, but I assume that his accountants looked at the proposal, did some ‘due diligence‘ enquires before the new partnership was created.
