With both of you we need a bit more data to really decide on lineups. Hopefully we have that later today but here is the current data so you can start thinking about it

As Will Dennis was only on the bench last game I'm not sure we can trust him to start. I'm guessing they are resigned to him going elsewhere in the summer rather than returning back on loan to them so they are giving the other keeper some minutes. Although that keeper did concede 5 so maybe they will bring Dennis back in.

The fact you picked up another Turkish keeper though does atleast mean you can enter 2 teams and then a punt team with Dennis is goal. Question is I guess do you go with two Challenger Classics and then use Dennis in a All-Star or do you do a Challenger Classic and a All Star team and then use Dennis in a capped team

Sean Johnson missed todays match due to getting a suspension due to an altercation that happened after the final whistle on the weekends game. However while some of the players got 2 and 3 game suspensions he only got a 1 game one so should play this GW.

The Stats show Guzan the most likely to score high but Atlanta are in awful form. Going into the season they hadn't lost 2 home matches in a row since the Covid season and they had never lost 3 home games in a row but they have now. And they aren't even offsetting that by winning at home so maybe Johnson will be the better option.

Glad, Polster and Herbers should start

Last I saw Arriola was questionable as he has a slight calf strain but that was on Monday so that will play a big part of your decision. Hopefully we get more info later today on him. If he is unlikely hopefully Gil or Farrell is rated as likely to play

You certainly have some choices, there are some players who its still up in the air if they will start and you have a few different options of what comps to enter which is actually impacted by who is likely to start.

This is perhaps what I would go with



But you could put in two strong Classic Challenger teams and use Dennis, Adama along with Bassey and Longstaff plus any other spare player.

I've actually gone back to suggesting Guzan as apparently the incident that Johnson was involved in is still being investigated and all the players involved might get extra games. That is likely to be announced after the deadline so it's not worth the risk.

Farrell also is a bit of an interesting situation its a toss up if he starts at LB so doesn't seem a great choice, you might think just take a punt on Arriola instead BUT he is also a toss up to start at RB. That's why he gets 60%

Interesting match coming up at 6:45pm. (Well its the MLS so kick off time is actually meaningless, apparently start times in the US are 'not before' times and they kick off whenever they like after that)

@derrickh100 needs Shaffenberg to score or assist a few. @Chippy need Guzan to prevent that and keep a clean sheet

While I don't know what I want to happen as I have both teams keepers and outfield players for both so either way most likely one team screws up a couple of lineups

 

Shaffenberg did ok but really needed a couple of decisives. You might still get a reward box. Guzan giving away a pen screwed Chippys lineup and one of mine

Muyumba getting an assist for Atlanta has hopefully put one of my lineups in a good place as my other Atlanta and Nashville players haven't

 

@derrickh100 How's your rivals going btw. I've not won anything but tickets but I do have a 20 point lead in the division which should hopefully be unassailable unless I go on a losing streak (actually caught in two minds if to even play rivals again this week so as not to help myself get caught)

 

You said you were in Div 4 right? If so then finishing second is fine, you get the same reward box in the top 2 positions

I don't know if you have been giving rivals a look but with the new changes this week it might be worth it.

Rivals is a head to head competition. It comes in two forms, friendlies where you can challenge your friends and TBH gets boring and the Arena where you use tickets to enter an arena and you get matched randomly with one other player of a similar level and you try and beat them. You get one free ticket every 12 hours (I think its 12 anyway)

What you are trying to do in rivals is either get a streak of 3 wins in a row where you win a reward box (you can pull cards from this Derick did the other day but you are most likely to win more arena tickets) or complete certain tasks, for example right now one of mine is to win a match with using tow forwards and doing these gets you more tickets. On top of that they have added a new format, everyone is placed into a division based on their level and then put in a sub division with 20 other people and over a week you are trying to get as many points as possible (you get 3 points for winning a match, for losing you have 2 points deducted). At the end of the week the bottom 5 are relegated and the top 5 are promoted. Those promoted get reward boxes, the higher you rank the the better these are. Also the higher division you are in the better the reward box for the same position is. For example winning in division 10 gets you a basic box with the following chances

Even the worst box has better odds of a card than the streak ones though.


Anyway playing is easy. You click rivals on the first page and then click matches. You will then see a list of countries and these can be expanded to show each match. You can also skip days using the calendar at the top. Generally you don't want to enter a team until the lineups have been announced so you only pick players who will start,

Click on the match you want to enter a lineup in and you will get a page showing an empty lineup and a Set Lineup button. Click that and start selecting your team. You have to pick 5 players like a normal sorare lineup but you don't need to own the cards and you have max score (each player has a score which is their average score in the last 15 matches) that you can use, this differs based on the match. While you don't have to own the cards if you do these cards carry a bonus (if you just use common cards you will always get matched with others using common cards, if you use owned cards then you can be matched with others using owned cards).

When you have selected your lineup you then have to pick a captain ( if you pick an owned card it can often make sense to pick them as captain UNLESS you have one clear stand out common card, for example Messi, although its hard to select Messi and get a team under the points cap). Then after captain selection you have to pick a style



Each style is associated with a certain action, for example tika-taka is successful passes. Each time one of your cards does that action you get a point and you have 3 combined targets to reach which get you extra points, for example if you get 220 successful passes you would get all 3 and get a bonus of 70 points (10 for reaching the first target, an extra 20 for the second one and an extra 40 for the final one). When you click on each it will show you what your players need to do, what the targets are and will also show you what the average number of these which gibe you a useful guide but you might sometimes ignore them, for example if your cards are from 1st place team and they play Bottom even if their usual number of shots is less than the lowest target it might make more sense selecting it)

When you select a style click submit. It should take you right to the Arena page where you can then choose to enter the arena by clicking the button, if it doesn't click on arena tab and you can click the enter button from there. Clicking it uses up a ticket, either your free one or one you already have. It's well worth taking just a few minutes a couple times a day to enter with your free tickets to try and win an extra card (or a mystery football shirt (some of which I believe are signed)

 

So despite having better chances to win a card with the promotion reward boxes my luck in rivals is still not there. Got 5 arena tickets (I suppose it's better than 3)

 

Annoyingly Div 3 doesn't have higher level boxes than Div 4 (although top 3 get premium rather than top2).

If you can get to div 2 then winning that wins you an elite box that guarantees a card

 

Grrrr. As I own an Atalanta card I was had a lineup for Rivals made up with them including Lookman but 3 minutes before kick-off I bottled it. Would have been over 350 points and hence in with a chance of winning the 250 euro credit

 

It does seem much harder this week than last. I'm not finding I'm so far ahead by half-time that it can't switch up by the end, infact I've had so many that were close enough that they have switched either against me or for me after the 85th minute this week so far. I'm in 4th currently on 9 points, which is 1 point from 1st but 2nd to 5th are all on 9 points, 6th to 8th are on on 7 points and 9th to 12th are on 6 so its really just 1 match between me getting promoted or being down in 12th
