Sorare Pro Game Week 45

Game Week 45 see's the Neon Edition special which has a total prize pool of $50,000 so if you have the ability to put out a lineup (or 2) this should certainly be a core focus for you. The top 3000 will all win a cash reward so there is a good chance of.

We also have a In-Season specialist which also has a $25,000 prize pool. It's only the top 500 who win a cash prize (and top 20% get a box). People might priortise the Neon so it may be a bit easier.

The final special is in Classic which is All Star

I only had a single box and pulled one a single essence.

Made a decent start to this game week including scoring 98 with my first player in one of my neon special lineups so hopefully I'll end up with a decent number and good rewards



If I can end up with a T3 or above card, the cash and around half of those boxes I will be happy with that

 

On first reaction there isn't too much that instantly jumps out as bad. Maybe the worst bit is the removal of the double rewards. It's not an issue really for in-season because if you are winning cash you really don't need essence as well but in classic it's a real issue. If you win a T4 or T5 card then in general that reward isn't much use to you, they don't start enough games and when they do don't put in good enough scores to allow you to challenge for rewards and you will also struggle to sell them even to the trading bots so you can't even cash in. The essence actually ends up being worth more than the card. Unless they announce that T4/5 are being taken out of the reward pool and those reward spots will just be replaced with essence then rather than having people hoping to hang on to their card winning position you will have them praying that others will beat them.

I'm not too bothered about Solo Rivals going. It's not an engaging game simple because its so low stake. Losing the squad game is a shame though, that feels like it has more riding on it and playing as a team is refreshing. Hopefully the rivals replacement has a squad mode.

We do need the full details though, I have a background in game dev and with August changes while I could see what they were hoping to achieve but when I read the details it was clear that the implementation of most of the changes was problematic and didn't achieve what they wanted.

 

The problem is more Bonuses. If you buy a Bellingham today you are behind every single person who bought Bellingham in the weeks before. The way it's setup you need to need to buy the cards before GW1 to give yourself a greater chance. No-one is buying themselves a win at this point.

As for selling and going to classic I wouldn't personally, selling is nigh on impossible because of the bonus issue. You lose half the XP buying on the secondary market and you miss out on some of the collection bonus so people would prefer to spending more buying from Sorare than on the secondary market. You have accept offers well below the going rate to offload them. And it's the same situation with playing classic, you will struggle to sell your rewards that you don't think are any use for you because of the bonus issue so its not like thats a more profitable route. You might as well try and recoup as much of your outlay back through rewards in In-Season for the rest of the season and then they become classic cards next season anyway
