7 was baba, 8.1 and 8.2 were very good though. 8.3 was surreal, and I'd never pick an 'epic battle' episode as my favourite, but there's so much to get your teeth into.
I would agree with your sentiment entirely, but season 8 so far is infinitely better than 7.

All GoT has been about is the scheming, the brutal way which people die and then the fear of what’s North of the wall.
For the first 4 seasons when it followed the books they had it perfect. It shocked you all the time. Red wedding, Neds death etc etc.
Now it’s more about who they think the fans want to be killed and who should kill them. Now the Night King was supposed to be this all powerful warrior who we didn’t know much about and have been waiting why he was so desperate to meet Brann. In the latest episode him and his men do nothing in the battle and the way it ends? Garbage. Done for the fans to like it. And that’s why it’s Hollywood for me.
It had been one of the best tv shows ever but it’s losing it lately -

I was a little disappointed last night as I thought the build up throughout the previous seasons to that massive battle against the dead should have been the finale. It was also all a bit too dark and I struggled to see what was going on at times.
There were some amazing bits, the Dothraki lights getting snuffed out in the silence and dark, Arya getting chased through the corridors were superb. As were the little nods to previous episodes, "the pointy end", the death of the giant etc.
There were unanswered questions, particularly the link between Bran and the NK.
Having thought about my initial disappointment about that episode not been the finale, I get why it wasn't. It is all about the Iron Throne, although the final battle will have to be amazing to top that episode. -

Are we absolutely sure that the end that was presented is actually the end? Because it doesn t make sense...

I really dont understand the critique of the ending it was BRILLIANT!! completely unexpected and completely un-holywood.
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!
The point of the end was that it was under a weirwood tree where the night king had been made. He was created with a dragon stone dagger and ended with valerian steel. Valerian steel was created with hammer blows and magic spells, therefore its to symbolise one form of magic cancelling the other. The dagger which was used had a valerian steel blade and a dragon stone handle. It was setup from the first episode. That is just the best storytelling ever. -

Melisandra had said the same thing to Arya earlier in the story but she said brown eyes, blue eyes and green eyes on that occasion. It really shows that this was a GRRM decision because the actual storytelling since the departure from the books has been completely under par. -

My favourite characters are Sandor Clegane (The Hound), Arya Stark, and of course Tyrion Lannaster.
The Hound and Arya together is always a brilliant watch. Should hate each other, but the unlikely chemistry they developed when travelling together in earlier series was brilliant, tinged with a black humour -
Talk of spin off shows now and one which will
Explain the Night King and who he is.
So don’t expect them to explain it in the final few episodes -
Never seen any of it, not into fantasy stuff at all.

I wouldn’t say rushed, just far too much filler. After the likes of Littlefinger or Olenna Tyrell we’re sharply bumped off because they had no role in the final throws, I accepted that on the basis it made things more streamlined to concentrate fully on the final season, instead there’s been loads of unnecessary stuff that’s just taken up air time.

Personally, I'm still loving it

Anyway, my kill list for the final two episodes:
Yara to kill Euron after he kills Cersei.
Ayra to kill Daenerys after she kills Jon.
Sansa to finish up as queen. -

Thought last nights episode was poor again to be honest. No spoilers as i'm sure most of you haven't watched it yet.
I just don't think its as clever as the earlier series. Again, it's rushed.
