Could be wrong but the keeper saved the penalty and the players came to congratulate and it looked like they touched the ball. Harsh but the ball was live

Without doubt all the players were very concerned, some Denmark players close to tears, it was emotional enough watching from the side lines never mind making a human shield around their team mate just in case the worst was to happen.

Even if it wasn't the BBC televising the game they could have pulled the plug, as hard as it was to try and keep a conversation going, I thought the woman on the panel was going to break down and cry at one time, very emotional for all who saw it.

Notice there was a point the commentators shut up for a few minutes. I wonder if they were planning to go back to the studio but they couldn't.

Either way, as I said above I'm not sure it's as simple as it seems because cutting away would mean limiting the information that people are wanting to know and even with the coverage going out I still saw a bunch of disgusting misinformation on Twitter and that's with most countries but Denmark sticking with the host coverage

I'm astounded that the game was played, after thar incident.

News on Eriksen looks to be more positive than seemed likely as events on the pitch played out. Huge credit to the prompt care he was given, lets hope his longer term prognosis is positive.

I don't think the season had anything to do with this. He had only played 34 matches this season for a team knocked out of Europe long since.

Cardiac Arrest which is what I believe it to be can strike anytime. I know someone who suffered exactly the same. Glenn Hoddle suffered from it to.

As for the game, the players were given two options, either finish it tonight or play tomorrow at 12noon.

When I found out my friend has a cardiac arrest I wasn't in the mood to do anything. So to actually see it happen I really don't know how they got through the game. The goal they conceded seemed to be by a defence that didn't want to be there, and at the same time the Finish players will also have been effected by this seeing a fellow pro nearly die before their eyes.

UEFA got the match over the line so their main interest is probably done.

I'm not sure you can count it out just because he only played 34 times. He was involved in every match after leaving spurs last season, their league season didn't end until August and they made it to the EL final so didn't finish the season until the end of August. I'm pretty sure their fitness wouldn't have been right as Italy had a longer and more strict lockdown than we did. Their next season started towards the end of September so they didn't get a proper break or a proper pre-season. He did fail to get on the pitch in the early part of the season, I believe there were fitness issues but he was still having to go through the prep for each match and then he played pretty solidly from Feb on.

Even if it ultimately wasn't a factor UEFA have put money over player health. It just highlights how corrupt and snakey they are as an organisation. The chances of a player getting a career-ending injury through fatigue and exhaustion are massively high.

And the fact they were given two options absolutely backs what I was saying, they weren't really given a choice. I said during the whole ESL thing that while the clubs got the blame people were ignoring what UEFA were trying to do to make them more money at the expense of the clubs and the players who create the product people want to give UEFA the money for and this really does show what a snakey, money-obsessed organisation UEFA are who then try and portray themselves as the good guys.

I'm guessing as well there were some actual threats made if they refused as well. After all, if Denmark had stood their ground and said they needed a few days to be mentally anywhere near ready and UEFA had kicked them out they would have won the PR battle as going after the team after what happened would look even worse than the whole situation has them looking now but you can guarantee they had already spoken to the Danish FA and told them if they didn't play the match the Danish FA would be punished which would have forced them the Danish FA to nudge them towards playing. After all a big fine for the Danish FA might not bring the paper inches especially if it's not handed down until next season is underway but lost revenue would hit a lot of the work they do to help Danish Football so the players would feel obligated
