Fans should meet with players

I'll tell you what I'd rather see. All the players being made to sit in a locked room with Gary Jones until he's done with them.

 

Agree it can't be just down to football since Edins been here every player has turned terrible just like stuarts team did .

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve seen some here say they’re just not good enough, but I’m not buying that. They might be only good enough for bottom half of this league, but not the bottom. I want to know why they are entering the pitch and with the exception of maybe 3-4, performing at a level that in many other industries would have them fired by now????

You will have to give NKP/Akpan/Macgowan/O'Connor a good 100 yards head start because they have all lost their speed nowadays and you will embarrass them.
Plus, the strikers wont be able to find you, they cannot even find the net.

This club is rotten from the top down. Toxic. Unless Rupp is prepared to bin off Rahic and then appoint and back a professional to lead the rebuild, he needs to sell and let someone else do it. And then we need manager to recruit players who'll drive the right standards and principles through the club.

A full rebuild.

And if Rupp isn't ready to come out and show he's going to do that, we need to boycott games NOW to show that the club won't be financially viable for him and his asset will dwindle in value. Force him to act while the damage can be minimised...

And we need to be ready to follow through with ST boycotts if he doesn't listen. It may need to get worse before it gets better.

They are playing shît because they are shît. Why do you (and others) think this group of players are any better than what they have shown so far? Genuine question, I asked it to banbrotam a month or so ago and he failed to give me an answer.

Have you seen them play in the flesh and personally seen them perform to higher standards? Have you seen scouting footage of them where they have played well? Perhaps you've read rave reviews of them online? Is there anything at all?

Our fans are convinced that these are good players based on virtually nothing.

Doyle =was a proven goalscorer now shit. Scannell = well known decent winger now poor Payne=decent in Blackburns promotion now plays when he decides.mellor=was in team of season. l reckon that l'm a decent enough bloke overall but l don't think l could trust myself to be even civil with most of these lazy arsed useless plant pots!

 

Ball has an average at best goalscoring record for Fleetwood and Rotherham. Mellor was team in team of the season playing in league 2. We're in league 1. NKP was not an unknown quantity going into the season and most of us knew he was average before re a ball was even kicked. Payne may well just be an inconsistent player who produces every now and then and i'll give you Doyle and Scannel. Hardly a comprehensive list which proves that the players are capable of producing more than our current league position is it? Here's my assessment:

Defence-

O'Connor- Lambasted by Aberdeen fans and based on his performers this season, it certainly wasn't because he had said mean things about them.

McGowan- He's failed to establish himself at any club for any great deal of time. Where he was playing before he had joined us shows how far he had regressed and the level of player we were signing.

Mellor- Iv'e not seen anything to suggest he's great at this level but there may be more to come from him.

NKP- 4th choice Centre Back in most people's eyes when Kilgallon was here. Anyone who was expecting him to be the heartbeat of our defence this season is either a lier or completely deluded.

Chicksen- Awful

Riley- unknown quantity

Wood- Unknown quality

Isherwood- Unknown quantity

That's what our defence looked like on paper. Why were you expecting them to be anything other than garbage?

We then move onto our central midfielders who don't fair much better

CM

Josh Wright- it doesn't take a genius to work out why Gillignham and Southend fans could wait to get rid of him. He may well have been a decent player in his prime but consecutive failures at his 2 previous clubs tells you we signed a player on a downward spiral.

Akpan- His nickname of hopeless wasn't without substance. He's terrible.

Reeves- Not spectacular but is a decent player and can do a job.

Lewis O'Brien- Unknown quantity

Jim'O Brien- Picked up after no one else had wanted him and was still our best midfielder when he was fit. Sums it all up really

The above is hardly a great list of players and it's no surprise we have been lacklusture and completely devoid of any flare in the centre.

Wingers-

Scannel- looked an excellent signing on paper.

Robinson- In a half decent squad, he's a bench warmer at best

Gibson- Unknown quantity

Seedorf- Unknown quantity

Again, not great is it?

I can't even be arsed going on but also take into consider our non league standard bench and the amount of game time Bruenker has had due to lack of options. Our squad even on paper is dire and some of our fans are just in denial. We're last in the league because we are crap. It doesn't need a conspiracy theory. The evidence is right in front of you.

 

Spells out what a crock of utter crap we are! I'd argue that LOB is the pick of this sorry bunch though. He's the one who's actually seeing at least some benefit with guaranteed first team game time every week! I don't think he'd hardly touched the first team @ Udders! Also he's our best performing outfield player by a country mile. Says it all!

As for most of the rest, I'm reminded of a classic rant, by a poster named Poojah, on The Fishy, Grimsby Town's forum, some nine years ago. It began:

I am writing with regard to my absolute astonishment and disbelief as to the sheer magnitude of your complete lack of talent and failure to carry out the job for which you are paid to do. We beat them twice that season, if memory serves. Looks very much like we'll have a chance at that again next season...
