    Because that run won't last.

And we don't know what league we'd be in. If it's league 1 price goes up.

FAILURE to get promoted AGAIN. The price stays the same as this season.

Big big pressure to get promoted.

Talking down the possibility of a buy back and talking up what a good landlord Gibb is, alongside just casually slipping in that the option of extending the lease by another 25 years is still on the table. Colour me shocked.

What an absolute nothing-burger of a night. Sod all to take from it other than we aren't buying the ground currently and our landlords 25 year lease offer is fantastic.

Sharpe says there will be no contract extensions until the end of the season.

Looks like another decoy season ticket selling plot has bitten the dust. There's no way Flamingo Land pensions had any interest in selling the goose that lays the golden egg. Rupp has fallen lucky in that we're at the right end of the table with a genuine chance of going up. He won't need to come out with any gimmicks to sell ST's should we get promoted.
Also noted Sharpe had changed his tune regarding the training ground, and starting player contract extension negotiations before the end of the season. Someone reeled him in maybe?

I thought the lease renewal, was just an option on the existing one, so terms more or less the same.
Only the party's involved know the asking price, and there will be one.
Even at today's rates , the pension fund is guaranteed around £9 million minimum from the new lease and it has built in increments at certain stages.
The club are also responsible for upkeep, which Sparks said was as much , if not more than the rent.
I would think your looking at £6 million for the pension fund to even consider it and what's the true value £3 million tops
No one in there right mind is doing that.
Saving the monthly rent of £40k , it will take over a decade to re coup your outlay.[/QUOTE]

Which is the exact opposite of what he said a few months ago. Anything any of them say has to be pretty much taken with a pinch of salt.

Don't really know what some expected from the forum. If there's nothing concrete to report, then so be it. We'd all like new training facilities and own our ground. Both come at a massive investment. We also want investment in the squad to get out of this league. One out of three is achievable. Two out of three possible. Three out of the three highly unlikely, but who's to know.

They’re having a public forum later in the year and Rupp will be going to that one. Been to loads of forums over the years and they usually go off on a tangent after the first half hour. The Radio Leeds method last night keeps everything on line and worked well.

A few months ago, Sharpe no doubt outlined his vision for the club, which will have now been put in line by Rupp/Sparks.

They don't tell you anything you don't already know if you have a modicum of intelligence. As has been mentioned any sort of investment claim wil show up in the accounts, some of the things fans want answers on are confidential so will be in discussion. As for buying VP the simple answer to that is only if it makes financial sense to the club in the long term and it's a golden egg for Gibb so he calls the tune in terms of sale price or rent increases.

    It’s 5 figures !

Seven is 1,000,000 minimum , so £1,000,000.00 is 9 figures.

I think you and me went to a different school to the one contributor you were replying to.;)

It’s not a shock Pet, why would it be , buying the ground would be unaffordable. either buyer would the load the debt onto the club surely?

Equally Gibb would be absolutely nuts to sell whilst the returns on the investment are guaranteed in pertuity. ( As long as we have nowhere else to go).
