@Dennis@Dennis makes a point about Germany getting fans back in the right way but it will be America that will try to rush through high crowd capacity as Basketball, Baseball, NFL etc all count on big crowds.

It really is about which country wants to drop the 2m or 1m rule first.

The government ignored Cheltenham and Liverpool v A. Madrid game so I can't see them allowing crowds in games until it's proven to be safe but league 1 & 2 have to put across ideas and quickly.

Reduce capacity, no over 70's has to be considered in the proposal ..

However, can the clubs put together all the one way process and make the stadiums Covid 19 protected. Will cost a fortune but again all will have to be put down in a proposal.

Doubt it. It's not about the antibody tests, it about how long they last for and as yet nobody knows. This is the problem.

The scientists on now being scientists are concerned. The only way out will be this track and trace. It will need to work at a high level.

Scientists keep talking about to elderly and them in the danger group. No matter how much some want to put their superman outfit on.

Fans are not coming back long time in this country I don't think.

Like others, I agree with some of your points and disagree with others. However, I think, with this thread, you have kicked off an excellent debate.

So if we take the advice it’s the old Anyone with underlying conditions anyone who is obese or is from an ethnic background so that applies to a lot of people would need to be excluded

You are very ageist Fordy. If an over 70 is fit and healthy, then they should be allowed in with the rest of us. Let them make the choice, rather than your option of banning them. My 92 year old dad has been out and about every day since lockdown, shopping, daily walk etc, you wont keep him away

You can find out a persons age but can't see underlying health issues.

Ethic background hasn't been proven and if it was true then we would be seeing high death rates in Africa places like that but we are not.

The only thing is that 90-93% of the deaths have been over 70

For all the interesting conversation amongst, at some point, to which I believe will be sooner than later, that supporters will be allowed back in stadiums en masse.

For all the social distancing regs as we have today, they'll be reduced more and more to the point they do not exist. Government advice will be given to which the onus will be put on the individual to make the decision, based on their own personal circumstances. We have already seen/suggestions of a review of the current social distancing rules, to 'help businesses'.

Maybe, I'm barking up the wrong tree but I believe the economy will take precedence now, with the disease taking a secondary status, of course dressed up in such a way, via your Cummings et Al of the world, using 'scientific' advice.

He's just winding any 70+ up for bite, you're completely right because someone is 70+ they can be fitter than some of the middle aged guys we see.

If in the next week or so we don't see a upward spike in new cases I think the economy has to be given priority

Not being ageist mate.. just going by the facts.

I admire your dad but a company will have a duty of care. If I am honest this government is so weak it won't matter.

The supermarkets took the mick out of the government and this lockdown has been a joke but crowds at football won't happen for ages because the scientists are not moving on the 2m, they meantion the elderly all the time and over 70 is a danger group and that can't be ignored if you're wanting mass gatherings.

Your right there will come a point where the lines between "the old norm" and "the new norm" blur and the Government especially around sport step aside and allow Governing bodies to govern the rules. There will be penalties where guidelines have not been followed and sanctions against clubs and organisers. Already sports at the grassroots have to be planning how they energe from lockdown. These sports do not have the luxuary of "playing behind closed doors" or tv coverage to placate the fans. These sports including grass roots football depend almost entirely on the take at the gate. It pays the competitors and the bills. So they will need to work with their Governing body; local authority and Govt guidelines to get spectators into their stadiums. Or large numbers of sports clubs and venues often at the heart of communities are facing ruin.
