I think it is just hippies tbh, theres quite a big overlap between people who are into activism and hate capitalism. i also find the concept of people who are inherently against hierarchical structures organising in such a way quite hard to believe.

Safe to say that most 'lefties' are unemployed, unemployable or work in the public sector, one thing you cannot dispute is that without the private sector then they cannot be any public services....

You could be right, and theres probably some moral argument that warrants debate. But why do it here? Go to China or India where they are building over a hundred new airports or Dubai where skyscrapers seem to pop up every week. Little ole Britain is an insignificance in world terms when in comes to the alleged damage to the planet. Take nuclear power for instance. New power stations are in planning for all over the world but none here. Like i say, they probably have a point but not here.

no its not safe to say, its completely made up based on your own prejudice unless you've gone out and surveyed everyone? Has anybody tried to dispute that? you're literally making things up to get yourself mad

my numbers might be a bit off but i believe the worlds something like top 10 to 20 most polluting companies are all based in the west, they also account for something like a third of global pollution. It's all well and good trying to blame China but who are all toxic polluting factories making goods for? also a big part of the reason a lot of people are so misinformed around the climate is companies like BP who ddefinitely aint chinese have spent a lot of money suppressing climate research as far back as the 80's. So definitely lots to be gained from making noise in Britain as we arent as insignificant in the process as we seem at all

That's your problem, you're basing climate change purely on industrialisation, f all to do with it, it's nature, we're coming out of an ice age, it's evolution...

A good point which i was going to mention, something that a lot of the protesters conveniently forget. A lot of those protesters don't look like they were dragged up on Ravenscliffe, a lot will have juicy pensions linked to exactly the sort of thing they are against. Depends which one they are willing to give up. Capitalism makes the world go round just as we are finding now. Without it not much gets done.

I personally don't have a problem with the system insofar as people paying money for stuff and labour seems to work fine. However I absolutely think the system needs to operate in a more fair and equitable way, and for folks to remember that we built these things to serve our interests and not the reverse.

Well provide me with the actual evidence you assert and we can have a debate. Otherwise you have just made that up. In which case there is nothing to pick the bones from.

Fair points, how you do it in a world more and more ruled by global businesses i don't know. Bezos ain't getting richer by giving money away. A point in question, i've just been watching soccer aid where extremely rich people point out how poor people are treat like shit in poor countries. Massive adverts draped over the seats for companies like primark, England kit made by Nike, both companies using manufacturers with labour forces made to work for a pittance in squalid conditions. Maybe soccer aid could give some money to these companies to pay their staff a proper wage. The hypocrisy on show is strong my lord.

Well I agree because any search for the information would be futile as it doesn't actually exist.
