Watt is a good skilled player who if he puts the effort in will rise up the league he would have fitted very well in this seasons team

    Yeah, I agree.

Salford have some good players and could challenge this season - but I don't think they're any better than we are.

Richie Smallwood/Elliot Watt would have been quality, but I'm happy so far with what I've seen.

Where were all the League 1 and Championship suitors last season? He chose the easy option of a closer to home.

Don't worry about Park. He really rated Joe Colbeck and used the reasoning that he must be good because Oldham paid a fee for him.

That's the level of reasoned debate you're competing against.

Yep the same one who had the best assist record won player of the season and commanded a decent transfer fee that one

Yep, and the manager who paid money for him didn't even see it the season. Joe was then released by Oldham at the end of that season and subsequently helped take Hereford out of the football league.

Great player though, obviously went on to have a stellar career and history definitely proved you right.

Never argued about what came after but he as successful here Thorne attributed a lot of his goals to his service many agreed player of the season

I see Watt has registered his 15th assist this afternoon. Meanwhile, we have Mr 0 goals and 0 assists Alex Gilliead running around our midfield.

And to think some people thought he was easily replaceable.

I'm pretty sure we rightly tried to keep him but he chose to move on that's football, and a few people on a message board with a sour grapes opinion doesn't really mean much.

The problem is that Gillead isn't his replacement. If he'd have stayed we all know he'd have played alongside Gillead rather than instead of.

We wanted to leave Hughes said that we offered a deal but he turned us down, we'll still finish above Salford, he was hardly their star man when we played them, McAleny was their influencial player at Valley Parade and Salford looked a very ordinary side at their place.

Watt would have been ideal in our set up a pity he didn’t stay but unfortunately money talked

Unconvinced that Watt copes with the big crowd expectation, very well. He's like the opposite to Stubbs and Clayton, on that score.

I also think we are very quick to get on the back of players who make a bad pass. In fairness it's probably the same percentage as you get at any club. But we have, say, 10% of 16000 and Salford 10% of about 1600!!. Big big difference, in 'negativity'.

Elliott Watt , the legend in his own lunchbox.
If he was all that ,he would have left us and moved up the league's. Instead in my opinion he took a backward step by joining a much smaller club, for no other reason than money.

Yikes, tempting fate a bit, no? We could easily face him/them in the play offs...

Watt has had a good season but he is no longer our player so let's move on.
He is one of few of our ex players to actually do well, Charles Vernam anyone?
