Donaldson or McLean?

It was like one of those kicks in rugby that finds touch near the corner flag. Seemed to go in slow motion with the defender not even bothering to chase it.Was probably pissing him self too much.And his header was like when the defenders do their little warm up before the game and they have to get the most height and distance as possible.

 

Sunday league stuff.

 

Nuff said.

 

Can you imagine the stick you would get off your mates if you did that on a Sunday morning.You wouldn’t live it down.I know they don’t do it on purpose but to then compound that with his defensive header at the wrong end just summed his season up

 

Has he scored from further than 3 yards out?

 

I can still see him ducking out of the header and it spooning over the bar by about 50ft. Almost as high as Sheehans pen at York,that is still orbiting the earth.

I have to say that's a bit insulting to Donaldson. He's had some poor games but some OK ones and he actually does care too. McLean easily walks into my worst players I've ever seen playing for city. He literally offered nothing and was truly appalling to watch.

 

And then he went elsewhere and proved that it was Parky holding him back, yeah?

More likely to be the excuses of a fading star, unable to process the sudden end of his career.

In answer to the general question....I hated McLean but Donaldson is worse and it isn't close.

 

He was never really a star though he was just In a team that put alot of chances his way so he netted a few and then made a career trying to replicate that. Along with Matthew Bates he was PP's biggest failure as a signing.

 

Did I say Parky held him back? Just said there might have been a bit more to that one

 

McLean was only any good in that Peterborough team with Boyd and makail-smith. The rest of his career was a sham and from what I can gather his signing was forced on parky to sweeten the blow of losing wells.

That's what he was implying though. That it was a failure of footballing style rather than diminishing talent.

Time pretty much proved where the truth sat.
