    I'm

For me the club needs a connection again. I would rather Darren Moore, a Flynn be manager next season at this stage if you think top 10 is a decent finish next season.

What do you see as a good finish? Top 6?

If we finish in the top 10 we can still finish 6th you know?

You're not saying that though. You're trying to fool us with this positive spin sh&te.

If Bowyer is the so call man which I doubt he is for his club then has to be top 6 finish.

I think the club needs a reconnection with the fans now and I am not talking pointless cheap season tickets. Moore, McCall, Flynn or even a Parky(which I seriously doubt)

Bowyer massively let himself down walking over to the Blackpool fans for me!! Feck him!

Theres no point wanting a manager who instigates a connection with fans and then also criticise a manager because he's previously instigated a connection with fans.

Problem is the squad really.. So much needs to be sorted out in the whole club.. Really disappointing to see... All that progress gone. All i can say is even if we'd stayed in league one i couldnt have imagined it fixing a lot of issues and would have probably looked at an other relegation battle....

Just sick of seeing bradford lose all the time. Surely leauge two is better than that.

He was liked by Blackpool and turned them around from a total mess, a bit like parky with us.

He fits the bill in that way.

You asked me about style and it’s clear from his Blackpool and Blackburn sides how he will have us set up. Physical in the right areas to compete in league two. With height and pace up front and out wide. A big target man who can bring others into the game.

That’s the style he has worked with and would work in league two.

I think you’ve named 9 managers now and not one has a promotion to their name

You really do talk nonsense at times!

Bowyer went to Blackpool and created some kind of bond with their supporters despite not previously having had any connection with the club. And he had the good grace and maturity to recognise that yesterday.

Whatever the nature of that connection, it was formed from his own managerial endeavours at Blackpool and not as a result of him playing for the club. If he'd stay at VP and help us to re-establish ourselves as a professional club, I'd be pleased to see him here next season

I thought bowyers actions were dignified, and showed a touch of class. It doesn't mean that he wants Blackpool to win... Just that he appreciated the fans that supported him during his time at Blackpool.

But you're happy with 10th next season.

Promotion not on your mind so Bowyer is pointless.

You do know when Bowyer got promoted without blackpool he had one of the best forward line ups that div 2 has seen. You know that don't you? He should of taken them up automatically!

At Blackpool he didn't play with a target man.

    You're guessing his style!

I just think the club needs to reset and start with getting a manager all like again and loves the club.

    Taken from @Dennis@Dennis
Here are the players who will still be on contract at VP next season ..

    O'Donnell
    Riley
    O'Connor
    Scannell
    Reeves
    Doyle
    Robinson
    McCarten
    Mellor
    Patrick
    Akpan
    Wood
    Gibson
    Sykes-Kenworthy
    Staunton
    Wright

So to get Bowyer to transform us is going to what you say he did at Blackpool is nearly going to be impossible and this is why I feel we need a coach now or manager that the club and players will fully respect.

Add to massive question marks over Rupp and funding Bowyer will be on to a hiding to nothing. He would be foolish to manage us next season and I don't think the club need him.

The way he set us up and we played some might argue with that.

    We were awful!

    Spot on
Watching the Colchester v Tranmere match was quite an eye opener
They had a modicum of skill they put the effort in and looked like they enjoyed
    playing the game
Watching that the current bunch will struggle in L2 people on here say they are championship quality players they are nowhere near the quality of the players just in that one match
This bunch irrespective of who the manager would not finish top ten in L2

Right now, I'd snap anyone's hand off for getting back to financial sustainability and a 10th place league 2 finish next season.

We're in critical condition and need to stop the bleeding.

As it stands we're more likely to be nearer the bottom than the top of league 2 next season.

Fordy, Flynn, McCall even Pep would be FAILING with these players. You can’t write the bloke off after a month in charge

Give the manager a break and judge him on next season

There's a time and place for showing appreciation to the Blackpool fans. Going the full width of the pitch at our ground to make such a public display moments before we go into opposition in a vital game is not it. It's the opposite of classy. Obviously some thought has gone into it as well. Coming out, as he did, before the players. In those precious pre-match moments his focus and attention should have been exclusively on 'his' team. The fact that it wasn't makes it his captains armband moment for me. God knows we need someone that inspires proper professional standards at our club that seems devoid of any. After yesterday I doubt very much that Bowyer is that man.

Unless we're able to shift 80% of the contracted players we have, and have a competitive league 2 budget, we're going to be at the arse end of league 2 next season and could well go down.

We lack the physical and mental qualities to do the basics right. We're shambolic at defending our penalty box and we'll have to do thaf even more next season. Sides like Fleetwood will be rocking up to VP every week.

This is why this season isn't all Edin's fault. Goes back to what @Inspector@Inspector was saying.

The Jan window was a shambles. What's cost us big time!

We all knew O'Connor and NKP are not good enough and we needed a forward target man or at least a decent one with pace.

The blame has to be on Hopkin and the board as well as Edin.

I don't disagree. Our position was recoverable in January. The window was almost as shambolic as the summer. Probably more so, because the areas we needed to strengthen and the consequences of not doing so were so stark.
