Errr............ What crisis ?? That was in January, wasn't it ?

 

I didn't understand this.

You're saying Masons role is more crucial than the manager?

 

This week the boards were becoming more grounded and actually, for once, optimistically (cautiously) looking forward to the future

Then we got this one

 

This gets more bizarre by the day. Now James Mason’s job is in doubt, either he is leaving or being sack!!! You just have to laugh. So you and your sidekick @south york bantams or maybe the same person should have a word with yourself. How is this helping fans?

Poor start from pointy shoes but learnt from mistakes (R&R please note) and overall has done a great job in the context of the owners' approach to things. I like him. We need his passion and with so much more that needs to improve at the club we could do with having the COO role unchanged.

Totally disagree. If I were Stepan I'd be sorting out Grayson, then getting straight on the dog to Dave Baldwin at Burnley and (within reason) offering him what he wants to come back and manage the club on a day to day basis, thereafter I'd leave DB to do the rest, which includes making a decision on if we need to keep Mason as well and buying a one way ticket to Stuggart for Mr Rupp.

 

Unfortunately, I don't feel any empathy with J M. It's not that he has been particularly poor, but IMO a bench mark was set by Dave Baldwin, and JM falls well short of that. To me, J M is just a performer, whereas D B was the Ring master.

 

Sorry HB, just seen your post, above mine. But the same thought.

 

I believe Dave & James would get on famously and do a great job for our club, just two things that won't happen : we cant afford Dave Baldwin and unfortunatly I don't think Edin is going anywhere soon.

 

you guys seen the documentary Matter of Fart, In that Edin says something along the lines of some people within the club are running a business within a business.. thats probably why you are seeing people leaving, From safety officers all the way to James Mason

Have to remeber though JM has a hell of a lot of skills DB did not have, such as media skills and pushing "the brand" out across the social media platform, we were seriously lacking in this department until JM came on board, and we have also grown our sponsorship profile since JM took over.. This of course is in no small part due to our success but we also had to capitilise on that success which I believe Mason has done better than Baldwin would have

 

I believe your way out of line with that particular comment.

 

Not sure if he was saying the safety office and Mason were part of the club within a club or that they had/were leaving

 

DB went to a premier league standard club. There was a reason for that which you refer to. For our level and maybe even lower championship level JM is up to the job IMHO.
