Sadly you know the end result ............. the new owners will be interested for a bit realise that this isn’t gonna be as at all ............. will leave the club millions of pounds in debt and another community loses a football club

I was a bit worried last week when one of their signings was Wells

To be fair, imagine us having THIS after the Rahic nonsense... I'm not sure any of us would be able to cope!

What would they be doing, dressing as buckets of KFC because we're chickens?

Talking points:

- Fans are frustrated with the performance of the club
- Acknowledged mistrust of the fans
- Club was not run sustainably, and was losing over £1 million per year
- Club was nearly £2 million in debt when WAGMI took over
- Unpaid debts stretched back 4 years
- Club's credit is so bad that they couldn't get a third party creditor to rent vehicles for £300 a month - had to buy vehicles outright in cash
- Invested a 'significant amount' in infrastructure to make the club professional and on a solid financial footing
- Progress will cost more money, so looking at new streams of revenue to make the club sustainable and stable
- Fans unimpressed with the 'Sidemen' friendly
- Sidemen friendly apparently established potential links for sponsorship and new exposure
- Fans: "Who cares Preston, we're not winning on the pitch"
- There's no excuse for underperformance and WAGMI won't accept it
- Preston will fly to the UK early (sound like Rupp to you?)

 

It's not cars they need to buy, it's a bloody great paddle for the creek they're in

 

I've found the shop they need....

 

I don't know, but the points I'm reading show to me that the takeover group look to be moving the club forward
- Identified how much and where the club was losing over 1m a year.
- Wiped out 2m debts.
- Paid outstanding debts stretching back 4 years.
- Invested money into the club to make up for years of unprofessional business.
- Initiatives to try and get new players into the club and broaden the clubs appeal.
- Board and chairman not taking underperformance on the pitch as granted, and will fly to the club to delve deeper.

What's wrong with all of the above? Yes, Crawley are not doing it on the pitch, but that's mostly down to the players and manager, not the board per se. Seems they've signed a lot of new players this season - including last seasons L2 top scorer Dom Telford. - so it's not like the board haven't backed them. Could well be that the next job on the chairmans list is to look at the scouting and transfer structure (like we did). Seems to me that the fans are expecting instant promotion and a team that beats everybody, just because the chairman has put money into the club, forgetting the fact that 2m was already owed before the Wags arrived, and needed to be paid off so the club could actually hire a team bus!
