You know what the narrative would have been if it was a Tory minister. To be honest we know what happens in Westminster is theatre, as the Labour conference showed a few weeks ago.

You said it was 'strange' that Starmer caught Covid since he sit in the mask-wearing side of the Commons. It's not strange at all - he could have caught it anywhere. You were simply making a cheap dig because you don't support mask wearing.

 

I was in utter shock that a man who wears a mask, and calls for masks to be mandatory has even with the "defense" of a mask has caught covid. It's as if they are next to useless and the push in the last two weeks to mandate them to all won't have the effect people think they will (See Wales for real life figures on mask wearing).

 

As you well know, no one has ever claimed that masks eliminate the risk of catching or transmitting Covid, but they reduce it, which is the point.

 

Maybe double jabbed, possibly booster jabbed Kier Starmer might realise that seeing as he now has covid going about the course of his day that any type of Vaccine Passport as introduced in Wales and Scotland is a complete waste of time and is as useful as a chocolate fireguard. Just another high profile of a double vaccinated person catching and having to isolate in order not to pass covid on.

Nice goalpost move there. We were talking about mask wearing, not vaccine passports.

I agree that vaccine passports make little sense now that the delta variant has eroded immunity from catching or transmission of Covid to virtually zero after three months.

 

No goal post moves, I mentioned before what happens on the TV is all for show and what isn't on the TV is different. I have already commented about the Labour Party Conference where everyone didn't wear masks only for them to have been wearing them in Westminster before and after the conference.

I started to use both words to describe the jab after listening to doctors concerns and then the court case in Australia last month when the professors of medicine were questioned about it and that is what words they using.

Tbh you can describe it to be either of the two.

Would be interesting to see what dates they are using for the 15-19 increase as that takes in three different stages of the covid role out, 18 and over were first, then 16-17, and then 12-15.

Out of the 40 weeks so far there has been an increase in 29 weeks, spread across the whole year and a drop in 12. With an average rise of 23%

The Labour Party conference was 4 weeks ago. I’d say he didn’t catch it there at all.

 

Is this the 5th time Keir Starmer has gone into isolation. He's running Tom Hanks in Castaway close for time in isolation.

Masks dont stop you catching it but they are proven to drastically reduce the spread. Some people have symptomless covid and some people like me this week had the super cold going about. I wore a mask in public so that I didnt spread it to anyone. If you cant agree with that then you have issues.
