Actually your original post that I quoted (see below) made no mention of the German health system and given the majority of us live in Great Britain you'll have to forgive my low (chimp like) IQ for assuming you were discussing our NHS.

    Chimp out.

I wasn't commenting on passports. Simply questioning your assumption that vaccines can't be reducing transmission.

Well if the rates have changed, why hasn't the government? Why are the government ploughing forward with a covid passport when it is appearing more clear that the vaccine has little difference on passing the virus, it's main quality is preventing serious illness.

that is two different points. First point is the leaflet you are quoting was correct at the time. The second point is the data hasn’t been fully investigated yet for the Delta variant or for the next variant so surely they are safer erring on the side of caution. If further down the line the evidence is conclusive that transmission isn’t effected at all then they will drop the passport, but we currently aren’t at that point.

Do you reckon that if they start the process on vaccine passports and the science becomes more clear about the difference in transmission then they'll go back on it? I don't have faith in that personally.

They are pushing ahead to keep the emergency powers post September, so we know they won't give up extra powers.

Well they were never going to lock everyone up forever, however this vaccine passport could be renewed annually with a booster jab.

They removed lockdowns but that had a cost to them. Passports don't.

So do you'll think they'll remove them if the science we've already seen as indications is confirmed?

Yep but they might return depending on next variant/booster. Passports will have a cost too to business

I think Aaron was referring to the cost to the treasury, not the business.

You must be wumming here… must be. Good to see someone picking arguments on bantam talk over nothing.

but if i must i will spell it out for you.

in the my comment at i quoted

We dont pay at use for heath care (NHS) yet you expect the government to do nothing so that hospital beds fill up?”

I incorrectly assumed people realised people would understand i would be on about Non single payer heathcare. You mistook “at use” for paying tax or something or other? We dont pay at use for gp appointments i must assume you already knew that but in case you didn’t, hopefully you understand that now. Looks like i have to play to the lowest common denominator.

my whole point was in some countries (not just Germany any other country that has a similar system in place) pay less tax BUT also pay when they use it hence “at use” or specifically pay at the “point of use”

i was wondering if people would be more careful if they directly had to pay for treatment

meanwhile you are arguing semantics (my choice of words that actually do not change my point at all, germany could be replaced with autstria)
So like i said before if you carry on about how i didnt specifically specify germany (even though you still misunderstood my point about “at use” ) i will just leave it

again its not my problem you cannot understand what im saying then arguing about something completely meaningless.

As you can see from the above table regarding the delta variant for the over 50s, 51.4k of cases were in people who were doubled jabbed whilst 6.7k were in the unvaccinated.

The Under 50s data is massively warped on the basis that it includes a huge section of people who haven't been offered the jab, but still a significant number of people who are double jabbed and single jabbed are catching and therefore passing on the virus.

This table if anything shows that Covid Passports will give people a false sense of security that because everyone has been double jabbed the risk of Covid is low, when clearly it is not. I probably have a similar chance of catching Covid in an environment where Covid Passports are in use as I am in a place where they are not. Infact various places where Covid passports have been a requirement like music festivals have shown a large number of cases of people testing positive after the event.

One thing that is without doubt is the vaccine has stopped people from going to hospital and dying and on that basis I think people should take it, but I don't believe they should be excluded from society if they don't.

    Scotland have passed Covid Passports.

They have refused to say if the age will lower if the age of the vaccine roll out goes down. Soon they will probably telling 12 year olds they can't go to the football.

Also if you aren't vaccinated now, and wanted to get vaccinated you would be excluded from the "benefits" of the Covid Passport until mid November at the earliest.

They also confirmed the cost of implementing the system would fall on the businesses that have to implement it.

All this to keep the unvaccinated as second class citizens whilst those who are double jabbed can spread the virus anyhow, therefore giving some people the air of invincibility when it is nothing of the sort.

Hopefully the Tory back benches will force the government's hand south of the border.

Plus anyone who has had one vaccine in England and one in Scotland will be excluded due to the fact that the NHS systems do not communicate that fact.

If same rules for outdoor events apply down here it is over 10,000 so would apply to VP but not many other L2 clubs
