    Fully agree the banter and scenery makes the programme for me too
    So funny when Bob Mortimer falls over he must have a balance problem
    Didn't know about "And Away" only started saying it this series
    May get the book hadn't realised he was a solicitor in his earlier life either

    give it a try, you might like it @bailiff bridge bantam@bailiff bridge bantam ;) the patience thing is overstated, going through the motions of the activity, all the stuff that goes with it, passes any fish-less time. As I tell the kids, sometimes it is good to be bored, especially given how busy lives can be nowadays. I go on my own mostly, so you kind of need to be happy with your own thoughts and company, but the camaraderie in the programme is what makes it, I like the fishing bits maybe more than non fishers do, however. The reaction to having a salmon or sea trout on and fearing losing it, I totally get that, as it is exactly how I am :laughing:

    Don’t know if you are aware that there are traffic lights set up by the Star pub which are causing a few delays round by the old flour mill.
    Caused us a few delays going to Rastrick on Saturday afternoon and will be same going to tip.
    Probably a bit late to tell you as I only just saw your post.
