    So. Initial, high-level, theoretical, plans for a 2 day Tour of the Yorkshire coast have been completed.

    Day 1: cycle into Leeds and early train to Middlesboro. 53 mile ride along the coast through Saltburn, Sandsend, Whitby and roll into Scarbados for an overnighter.

    Day 2: 60 miles and flatter, down through Filey, Bridlington and Hornsea. Ignore the Spurn peninsula and cut inland to Hull. Hour on the train back to East Leeds.

    Sounds very good indeed. Should be down wind for much of it? Did a trip to Spurn point about four years ago, feck me the wind was fierce that day.

    3 hour ride tonight. With my crazy friends who have just done Lands End to John O Groats. Challenged me a bit...
