    I wish the would bring back the 40 over Sunday afternoon cricket. Used to love that. Plenty of batting fireworks, but enough time for bowlers to develop a rhythm and really test a batsman.

    Loved it, Essex didn't have a home ground as such, so used to move around the county to different grounds every week or so.
    The scoreboard bus was a feature too

    And remember the uproar when cigarette manufacturers were banned from sponsoring sports!

    Darts and snooker were never really the same again. Clouds of smoke and watery lager exited the stage!

    My old company, Friends Provident, sponsored the cricket for a while. I could get tickets for Old Trafford whenever I wanted. Nice perk at the time.
