For this specific test, it was clearly going to be important to bat at certain times and bowl at certain times. England seemed to have not factored that in at all and just played shots to get runs or get out and not think about when they should be bowling. Completely the opposite of Starc on the morning of day three patting it around to make sure England batted when it was dark. Its that kind of thing that annoys me. They have all the data and stats and support people in the world to help them but seemingly ignore it and play like an under 12s team.

 

Took longer than it should have to get that...

 

Probably not as much as the players, after all why play country XIs when there are golf courses to be enjoyed
