Thanks for all the love. For the interview we had to score ourselves on 7 questions and give evidence. Manager had to do same and I ended up with a slightly higher score than I gave myself.

don’t find out final result till next Thursday though

I’ve just reactivated my Facebook account after a mate sent me a link. Immediately got annoyed. That’s enough of that for 5 years. Deactivated.

Live show has finished. Very enjoyable.

Ended up chatting with band members from some of the groups I listen to.

Turns out that there is a very strong underground rock scene in Bradford.

    Morning all.

    Having a coffee.

Going to make a coronavirus board game today. Sort of based on the game of Life.

Forget your mask - move back 3 spaces.

Vaccine approved - go forward 5 spaces.

A briefing from Boris Johnson is scheduled for 5pm - return to start.

Try to cut own hair, it is a disaster - go back 3 spaces.

Local Indian takeaway gives you free onion bhajis and poppadoms for your loyalty - go forward 2 spaces.

Get the last pack of 24 toilet rolls in Asda - move forward 2 spaces.

    Any others?

    There's been a bincident.

Having stood firm, the bins were not put out. But what's that noise? Yes, it's the bin men, efficiently going about their duties.

And what's that other noise? Why it's my neighbour, calling a jaunty "yo" from their bedroom window, presumably to request that they pause their round while he finally does the right thing and gets the bins out.

His call, however, goes unheard as the lads motor round to the next courtyard of this "desirable development*". The anguish is palpable.

I'm confident that, with bins now full for 2 long weeks, the neighbours will reflect on this and behaviours will change. It's a victory of sorts, but it's bittersweet.

*not my words but those of Rightmove.

    Morning all
Unfortunately my old man died peacefully last night.
My dad was the reason for the 2 sporting loves of my life—football & cricket.
He took me to my first city game as a slightly belated present for my 9th birthday in January 1976.Tooting and Mitchum in the fa cup.(Won 3-1).During the years since I’ve cursed him for this decision on numerous occasions.
But I’ve also enjoyed lots more good times with him at Wembley etc as well.
Also when I was a kid during the summer months when my mum and sister were shopping I would go with my dad to cricket. He played on a Saturday for Girlington on the pitch opposite the entrance to St.Luke’s hospital in the old Bradford central league and on a Sunday for a team called The Jesters who played matches all over West and North Yorkshire.
My mum is ok and to be honest a bit relieved. Will spend some time with her and my sister today but I know she’ll insist I watch the game.
    See you all about 2.30
