Always looked after my own family and forgone holidays abroad making do with a week in a caravan at Skeggy, putting a little away for a rainy day to pay for future holidays abroad and of course away days watching my second love Bradford City, why should I feel guilty when the cheque drops through my letter box, actually it doesn't dividends are reinvested, have a nice day.

Stumbled across this alarming study: https://www.iza.org/publications/dp/4333/immigration-and-housing-booms-evidence-from-spain

We are constantly told immigration has no effect on increasing rental prices and lowering the supply of affordable housing.

Surprisingly few studies have been done on the impact of immigration and housing, but in the ones that have the results are stark. For example, in a 2009 study Immigration and Housing Booms: Evidence from Spain (https://www.iza.org/publications/dp/4333/immigration-and-housing-booms-evidence-from-spain), the researchers found that a 17% inflow of immigrants increased the cost of housing by a massive 52%. From the study:

"Between 1998 and 2008, the average Spanish province received an immigrant inflow equal to 17% of the initial working-age population. We estimate that this inflow increased house prices by about 52% and is responsible for 37% of the total construction of new housing units during the period."

On top of the impact this is having on our health service, the lack of action against immigration / illegal immigration is literally suicidal.

without reading the reports linked I’d suggest the Spanish influx of immigrants would include a large number of Brits retiring out there which would effect house pricing and building a lot more than people coming in at the bottom end of the work force, or illegal workers
