Think we hear from the baffling idiot tomorrow.

 

I don't know at @How. I rarely watch the media outlets on this subject. As I choose to read/watch little on the area, this was a stark warning on the potentials of the pandemic.

Yes, you may say, it is blatantly obvious what was said. I see it as reaffirming what I already do in preventative measures but to not become complacent, which to a degree, I have done on occasions.

I imagine if the message is interpretated by hundreds of thousands of UK folk like me, then today's simple message, may have positive overtures?

Yes, it is obvious I should not be complacent any of the time. But I have....

 

Fair enough. If that’s the case then it will work for some. A good point was the thing that there is no evidence that the virus is milder than before. A lot seem to be saying it was. Maybe we have become a bit better at treating it and everyone’s immune system was up with the hot weather we have had.
If we don’t get on top of this the next 3 months could be a real test.

 

I have to say I assumed the virus was the same as before in terms of its capacity to kill.
I feel the timing of the press conference maybe coincides with its targeted audience, ie those of a more mature age. Maybe a stark warning for these age groups?

 

It was as expected. A reminder that it hasn't gone away, we're currently on a poor course and everyone needs to focus a bit more. Nothing exciting.

That was my take. As no politicians were present, I took the time out to listen.

It was a simple message. One I have took on board. Tighten my personal actions.

I was also took by surprise that only c8% of the population may have immunity to the disease. Again a simple message by the scientists.

 

But most of all remember to be scared. And to do exactly what we tell you to do, or we'll fine you and you'll lose even more freedoms. And keep an eye on your neighbours - if they do anything they shouldn't, dob them in.

Well everyone laughed at me when I said no over 70's at football. We can't be having you can do this with other people but can't see family. It's madness.

Seriously, though yes I understand the risks but I could come in to your house now if it was for sale and spread it. If the government says no houses can be sold, no this and that then fine but they won't and that means I will just check on within reason.

The risk is always going to be there and I its a live in hope risk mate. We can't do no more.

The government have to up their game and sort themselves out.
