If he's showing what he can do in training and the odd friendly maybe he will start with Vaughan and bring Donaldson on if required, remember Bowyer said we wanted pace and power out wide and down the middle , Donaldson certainly possess power but never been a pacey player.

    Eh?

Donaldson has a great turn of pace. It's one of thr first things I noticed about him, especially with him being 35.

He's never been renowned for his pace big powerfull lad yes but can't agree with regards his pace.
The comparision was Bowyer saying he wanted power and pace out wide and down the middle Oteh offers that.

Omari played alright on the wing at Bolton. Might be an option for us going forward instead of as an out and out striker.

Great stuff. Seems a few of our expert fans on here have already written him off though

He's a strange one Donaldson. He's not the sharpest over the first few yards but once he gets going he's rapid. He went on one run with the ball against Northampton where he got us 40 yards up the pitch and no one could catch him - not their defenders or our own players. I remember thinking 'bloody hell, he's 35'.

He's got great awareness. Great movement off the ball. But his technique is strange. At times he does unbelievable things but then he'll trip over his own feet.

He did OK on the right. When he was up front he was anonymous. If and when he's used, it should be solely on the right hand side, preferably when we're leading in games and want to play on the break. He's not much use for anything else.

So does Donaldson. If you're still unsure, have a look at the amount of people that agreed with my post compared to the zero people agreeing with yours.

Donaldson is quick, certainly above average anyway, anyone with eyes can see that.

Love it @NorthernMonkey I've more likes than you so Im right :joy:.
You're missing the point I'm talking about the present moment not 10 years ago, comparing Donaldson to
Oteh for pace is no contest hence IMO Bowyer might start Oteh ahead of Donaldson, plus giving Donaldson a rest isnt a bad thing.
As @faith Bantam says "He's not the sharpest over the first few yards but once he gets going he's rapid" for me its those first 3/4 yards are crucial.

Eh? Who mentioned 10 years ago?

I even mentioned his age in my original post so either you didn't bother reading it before replying or you're just stubborn and can't admit that you're wrong.

If I was a betting man though I know where I'd put my money.

I'm pointing out that he might have had pace 10 years ago but he does not posess it now over a short distance as I posted in my original post where as the lad Oteh has according to the QPR fans.
Nothing stubborn about my reply I've given my reason why I believe Bowyer may start him and intoduce Donaldson from the bench giving him a a break as he did with both Vaughan and Donaldson at Bolton neither players in the squad after all as you say he's 35.
You quoted "If I was a betting man though I know where I'd put my money" are you suggesting you think Donaldson is quicker than Oteh over 3/4 yards ?, its a good job your NOT a betting man.

Where did I say Donaldson was quicker than someone I've never seen play? I didn't because that would be very stupid. Then again though, neither did you in your original post but it seems you're trying now to shift the goalposts.

Have you missed comment "QPR" fans tell us.
The original post was me saying I believed if the lad Oteh continues scoring and doing well in training it wouldnt suprise me if Bowyer started him infront of Donaldson because Bowyer has quoted he likes pace anx power out wude and down the middle andpointed out the lad Oteh has pace.
    No moving the goal posts.

I would have played alright on the wing against those Bolton kids, and I'm 68!

He did better when he was on than the whole team did in the first half.
