That's not how I saw the tip over at the time but haven't seen a replay. Looked like a keeper being safe rather than sorry after a sliced cross that could have been heading top corner.

Debated whether to renew this season but eventually did just because I wanted to keep my seat! Well that's no longer a reason as match day no longer gets the pulse racing. No excitement, no expectation, no enjoyment.
Of course there's a possibility that we could get out of this league this season but the probability says otherwise.
We have diehards and some that will renew again just for their weekly escape. However, my enthusiasm to attend games recedes further each week.
Big changes are needed. You can't keep miselling a commodity and expect people to keep buying into it.
    Enough is enough.

I’m sick to death of this club. That’s the 5th time I’ve watched this season and certainly will be the last. What an absolute disgrace, do players from either of those teams today really look themselves in the mirror and think “Yes, professional football is the career for me”?

    642... that'll be GA's next tactic

Like players, I wonder if managers share agents etc and we are seen as a club where you can come in for an easy wage. Any manager that fails to take us up can always say "well, Hughes/Alexander couldn't do it"

Just watched GA's post match interview and he says there's maybe something we can learn from what happened in the 99th minute. Also watched his post match interview from 4 years ago when Salford lost away to Colchester 1-0 in the last minute of the game, also from a corner. He talked about needing to learn fast from that as well. The man has learnt nothing.

He is consistent though. He seems to say there is something to learn almost every week. How about learning not to go to play teams like Colchester and adopt a negative attitude right from the off.

An unguarded back post and a free runner was criminal.

Don't know how much that was on GAs tactics or the players on the pitch failing to organise themselves properly.

I have a theory that our dribs and drabs approach to substitutes leaves us confused in the last few minutes of a game. Something that other teams exploit. Players end up playing in 2 or 3 different roles e.g. Oduor and Jamie Walker. What is that role or person then supposed to be doing at defensive set pieces. Would Andy Cook have been the presence at the back that prevented that ball from reaching their player?

Back post on our right and GA thinks Halliday is a right centre back…I held my head in despair.

    The substitution were bizarre .

To change it all to leave Oliver up top on his own was a recipe for the ball coming back time and time again and that’s exactly what happened.

They left two central defenders marking him, the third defender went high up the pitch and the their wingbacks were used as supplementary wingers .

Oliver has neither the pace nor guile to occupy two defenders so what the F is GA thinking here??

I cannot see us progressing with another important bad injury added to the list and now GA’s bizarre mindset of substitution tactics.

Forget the “ Spin” that result was ludicrous , they were awful from the get go and didn’t look like scoring this side of 2024 , yet …..we dropped to their level.

Change ‘interesting’ to ‘probably disappointing and uninspiring’ and I’m with you.

    1 shot on target
    30% possession
    No wins in 4
11th in the worst league two in recent history once the teams below catch up on games in hand

    Absolutely criminal

January will be our returning injured players are like "new signings" no need to delve into the market and that GA has all the tools for a promotion push followed by sacking him in the first two weeks of February

Just my opinion like yours but I don't think we'll sack Alexander until we can't actually achieve a play off place then I'm not sure he'll get the sack after hearing the Sharpe interview, we've not played any sort of entertaining football all season so far, but we saw when we managed to put that 5 game run together (three wins two draws) it took us to within a win against Doncaster of going top, as many have said this season league two has to be the poorest we've seen for years with regards stand out teams it a very open league.

We are both long term fans mate but honestly after that yesterday im certainly losing the will to even bother watching it on the TV, yesterday was made it worse by by having a scum fan taking the **** and saying are they always like this ? i had to say most times, its got to the point of embarrassment but they are our club and that really is the kick in the ***** for us all.

Exactly Kev, this wasn't the Fleetwood scenario last week where they were pitifully out of form so defending a one goal lead was a worthwhile tactic. Colchester are third from bottom FFS and look like a team devoid of ideas. When that first goal went in that should have been the catalyst to put the game out of reach, instead it was out only worthwhile effort on goal the entire match. Ultimately you run the risk of a very late equaliser with those tactics, had we held on it would have papered over the cracks.
For every half decent run this team has there's always the feeling there is a poor run to even it out. That isn't the model of a team getting promoted.

Similar comments from a Town supporting friend of mine last week, felt quite disparaging about how we looked to a neutral watching us.
