You're making it up, we haven't "scored freely" at any point this season.

 

What a ridiculous excuse. We DROP
a division and were clearly somehow struggling to get used to the standard in the matches you don't want to count just so you can use a 4 match selection in isolation to pretend we were scoring goals?

I've seriously heard it all now.

 

We were averaging 2 goals per game in the 4/games before Donaldson injury look it up

 

I have but I'm only using using the Cambridge and Forest Green matches so we were averaging no goals a game.

That's how it works right?

Alternatively, if you want the truth, we'd scored 20 goals during Claytons 14 appearances this season.

 

By the same token, are you willing to use the last 4 games as a benchmark to conclude that we’re shít or does this theory of yours only apply when it suits?

 

What it shows is we were getting it right and were scoring goals at the time Donaldson was injured

 

How many times we scored 3/4/5/6 goals in a game this season? That's what I would equate to scoring freely. I count once 3 against Oldham and that's our lot. We have never scored "freely" all season.

 

What it shows is that we miss Donaldson the fact that we are so close to an automatic promotion place from where we were in the summer tells it’s own story

 

Would 92 goals over a season be scoring freely

So if we don't score an average of 2 goals a game in the first 4 matches when he's back what's your back up excuse?

 

At an average of 9 in the last 5 matches we won't even have 92 shots on target in the season, let alone goals.

 

It’s a long season. Teams move up and down the table for a whole host of reasons, to attribute it solely to Donaldson is ridiculous. If the league is decided after 15 or so games Forest Green would go up automatically and Northampton wouldn’t even be in the picture.

What’s your excuse going to be when Donaldson returns and we don’t score freely? Because by your logic we’re going to start putting teams to the sword when he comes back

 

I have made no excuses just shown that he is missed I believe our scoring rate will increase when he is back and fully fit

 

It shows just how crap division 4 football is that that’s a good advertisement, the only think it advertises is we need to get promoted at all costs.

And what it also shows is our manager relied on one player too much and now he's injured he has no idea how to get the other 20 odd players to play together, attack and score goals!

We can't rely on only one player!
