I raised the issue of solar panels before and I think @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler suggested that they would not be economical and there could be issues in installing them, which is a great pity. The same goes for thermal heat pumps and small wind turbines.

You have to question whether pitches need to be watered to the extent they are. Given the recent doomsday, ‘existential threat" and "jaws of death" quotes, about water not being readily available in the future, then the issue of conservation is relevant.

I guess the EFL/FA/Premiership and FIFA/EUFA could give an edict that no pitches should be watered within 24 hours of a kickoff, which would end what seems to be a ridiculous procedure with sprinklers.

Does the club have any plans to introduce a proper away membership scheme ? Yes we have the away priority card and no we currently don’t have the issue of selling out at places but one day ( am not drunk ) we will again . Aren’t we best attacking the problem now rather than it been a issue if say we pull man united next season in the cup . I am no means these days the most loyal away fan . I do maybe 10 a season so it’s not to benefit my self personally . If we had a proper membership gainings points/ caps it would reward the people who deserve to be rewarded . I understand this will cost and would need someone in the ticket office to deal with this .Maybe add the membership as a option when purchasing a season ticket . I’ve stolen a example from Sheffield United .

    Loyalty Points Scheme

Our principles in determining our Ticketing Policy are that they should be fair and right for the majority of fans and that those who attend most regularly are rewarded.

Loyalty points will count towards your ticket priority for matches where demand exceeds the number of tickets available.

You must be a current season ticket holder or member in order to validate your loyalty points.

    Birmingham City Away -
Tickets are on sale on the following dates to Members only (including season ticket holders):

    Tuesday 19th March
    45,000+ Loyalty Points

Tickets will be on sale to members with 45,000 loyalty points or above.
    One ticket per supporter.

    Wednesday 20th March
    40,000+ Loyalty Points

Tickets will be on sale to members with 40,000 loyalty points or above.
    One ticket per supporter.

    Thursday 21st March
    35,000+ Loyalty Points

Tickets will be on sale to members with 35,000 loyalty points or above.
    One ticket per supporter.

    Friday 22nd March
    30,000+ Loyalty Points

Tickets will be on sale to members with 30,000 loyalty points or above.
    One ticket per supporter.

    Monday 25th March
    25,000+ Loyalty Points

Tickets will be on sale to members with 25,000 loyalty points or above.
    One ticket per supporter.

    Monday 26th March
    20,000+ Loyalty Points

Tickets will be on sale to members with 20,000 loyalty points or above.
    One ticket per supporter.

    Tuesday 27th March
    10,000+ Loyalty Points

Tickets will be on sale to members with 10,000 loyalty points or above.
    One ticket per supporter.

    Wednesday 28th March
    5,000+ Loyalty Points

Tickets will be on sale to members with 5,000 loyalty points or above.
    One ticket per supporter.

    Thursday 29th March
    Super Draw Lotto Participants
and members with 2,500+ Loyalty Points

Tickets will be on sale to 2019 Super Draw Lotto Participants and members with 2,500 or above.
    One ticket per supporter.

    Friday 30th March
    General Sale

Should any tickets remain they will go on general sale on Friday 30th March.
    One ticket per supporter.

Ok currently we don’t have to go to the extreme of different days for tickets etc but I think it’s a good example of what we could do with .

    My idea would be -

Season ticket holders can join for a upfront payment of £10 per season to join the Away membership scheme . Many would join just for the sake of £10 . Earning the club extra money.
Non season ticket holders would be £20

Encourage everyone to buy tickets via the ticket office or online ( earning the club money ) Making the ticket office job easier by automatically updating the Away membership points table .

Anyone who has Paid on the day will not receive points unless they can produce within 28 days of the game a valid match ticket . This will need to be posted to the ticket office with the members name and away membership number. This would discourage pay on the day and earn the club money with more people buying away tickets upfront earning the club money , reducing turnstile queues and also improving safety with the club knowing who is there .

Reward 23 points for a season ticket Purchase.( 1 for every home game )
Reward 1 point for non season tickets holders who buy a home ticket on Match by match basis from the ticket office only .
2 points For anyone who attends a away game.

    Example for next season -
    Salford City Away

The club has received 1,000 tickets meaning there is enough tickets for anyone over 28 caps

    26th August 2019
    Away members with 28+

    And so and so on

Give a max of 24 hours for the selected amount to be sold before reducing the points .

Points wouldn’t apply for the first 5 games after the membership has started to give everyone a equal chance of obtaining tickets and building there caps up .

If there was say 500 tickets and 600 on top points . Give a days grace to register interest and then if the full 500 has gone do a ballot .

Maybe top point scorers could have a table at the POTY or something as a reward for there loyalty . I don’t know .
Not sure if the ticketing site allows you too see your points tally etc but something to look at .

A few local games next season might surprise us with decent away followings . If everyone knew where they stood it would save a lot of fuss . Maybe this post is too positive and that am presuming we’re going have ticketing issues but maybe not next season or season after at some point the club will run into ticketing issues again and will be slated unless it’s dealt with correctly . Yes it would mean more work for the ticket office but in the long run it would benefit everyone and make us more professional and organised as a club . Am sure my idea could be improved by other posters . Am part of the FAs ENGLAND members club and it works perfect .

Totally agree @Fools Gold@Fools Gold . Now, especially if relegated, would be an ideal time to start any point scoring system. Not sure if season ticket holders should have to pay for the privilege though.

Also I wonder how many points Sheffield give for games as 40,000 points is a lot if it is one point per game. I know some clubs give different points depending if it is a long distance and extra for midweek games. Maybe a point per mile from VP and double for midweek?

The cost was just to cover any increase in staff wages to cover the scheme .

After a quick nosey at Sheffield United it seems that’s its 100/150 points for a home game . Not sure if we need to complicate it that much

A bit like the Pound to the Zimbabwean Dollar. £1 = $477.522! Far too complicated and a ridiculous number of noughts!

    @Glenn Ackroyd@Glenn Ackroyd @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler

Can i have a reason for the community sections not been open for home games.

Ive a season ticket in the NW corner and every week i am surrounded by freebies, the majority of which have no interest and tend to be an absolute nuisance, kicking seats, getting up and down, and adding nothing to those around them.

I get its expensive to open a stand like the dallas for a few but why not, abstain from selling tickets from a certain block in the NW corner so that folk who actually want to watch the game get to do so

Please get our invisible owner & invisible CEO to come out and tell us what the plan is now for the club. Are we up for sale? Do we have a commitment from the owner that he will repair the damage he helped create? Who will be running day to day operations when Rhodes disappears at the end of the year? Where is Jake Reeves buried?

Hi, that's great. This is down to Paula Watson (Operations Director) who raised the issue with the Council.

I'll have a look into this with the Commercial Team and Ticket Office.

I don't know the capabilities of the ticket website that we use. We also have some other ideas regarding away priority that we'll be reviewing over summer, so this is something we'll come back to.

The Supporters Board has been re-launched.

The first meeting was last night. A full summary of the discussion is being prepared by Adam Barker who is the Supporters board chair and he will publish this for all supporters to see.

FOBC were present and they are keen to re-engage and we are delighted to welcome their support and indeed the support of all the groups present.

Despite the terrible season, the commitment and unwavering support from those present was very humbling. The feedback, ideas and constructive input were extremely appreciated by the club officials in attendance; Ryan Sparks (Head of Media/PR), Mick Shackleton (Commercial Manager), Laura Hutchinson (Player Liason Officer and Events Manager) and myself.
