Chris Wilder now available, if Rupp has any interest in this club it's obvious what he needs to do.

If he doesn't, well that just says it all.

    Good one!

As a complete coincidence, I'm listening to a programme about worldwide conspiracies on the radio. So far, it's referred to 9/11 being a Jewish conspiracy, that Covid is a hoax and John Buchan's 39 Steps was fact and not fiction. I think I'll suggest the programme's researchers investigate yours as well. It may not be a coincidence! ;)

Absolutely zero chance of a manager of Wilder's capability coming to us. Nil, zilch, nada, none. Anyway we have two pretty impressive managers at the hilt already.

Our former player, Manager at the Blunts, well use to be. Probably treated badly by the new owner. However with a reported £7 million pay off, he will never need to work again. Good luck to him.

    But he will.

He will have offers. Newcastle would be perfect for him.

Wow, that's the sort of "mutual agreement" I would like to get. How much did he have left on his contract? That's one hell of a pay off.
I don't think he's the sort of guy who would just give up on management. I'd like to see him involved in the England setup in some capacity. He's obviously a great motivator and good at getting the most out of players. He'd be good with the England youth teams.

I don't believe he's been paid 7m ha ha! Seriously. he's not Pepe or Klopp.

Which is why I asked how much he's got left on his contract. It's not unbelievable to think he gets paid 1.5-2 million a year. If he's got a few years left on his contract (and you'd probably think that he got an extension when he got them into the Prem), then 7m is about right.
What is ridiculous though, is that they must have panicked and thought about his salary in the Championship, and then decided that 7m is a fair pay off and leaves them not out of pocket. Good luck finding someone else on lower wages who wants to take over a club like Sheff Utd and is expected to get them up at the first attempet.
    Foreign owners eh?! :D

Big mistake allowing him to leave. What a job he has done for that club. One bad season doesn’t make him a bad manager

Norwich kept faith in the manager and don't seem to be doing too badly poor decision from the blunts

Sheffield United intent on engaging Huddersfield on a race to the bottom.

In a year or two, I hope Wilder and Wagner meet up, share a glass of wine, and laugh at the silly clubs - unfortunately for Sheffield United, their fans aren't on board with Wilder leaving. The dunces at Town were, though.

The same David Wagner that went to Shalke and set a new club record of 18 games without a win before being sacked?

He had a good 18 months but he had definitely run out of ideas and with or without him they'd still be in a similar position imo.

I think it's Town out of ideas.

Sheffield have to avoid becoming similarly bad.

Maybe, although I don't see the same issues with Sheff Utd. I think they'll end up with a better structure (than just allowing Wilder to run everything) and be absolutely fine.
