This is NOT about whether Chris Short was a good enough fitness coach, this is about how you treat people in general and especially ppl who work for you. What came across to me was the lack of respect for experience Chris had in fitness and coaching. As @Plastic Bantam has stated why was he yet again interfering with fitness. How would he know or is he suddenly an expert in that now as well!
Here is a list of excuses that Edin apologists have put forward for the state we are in.
1. It is all rumours
2. Ex employee revenge
3. Racists
4. It is ex managers fault, players fault, etc etc.
5. No evidence of anything untoward at VP

Here comes another one......
Left after a disagreement with Rahic............surely not, how could that happen...?
“It’s a shame how the club is now. I was there for a year-and-a-half and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn’t the club or the staff that were the problem. “I had 18 wonderful months. We got to the play-off final and it was a privilege to work for them. But I left as a matter of principle because I did not agree with the owner’s philosophy and I thought he was very disrespectful"Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... I get the feeling that, while worrying, the issues are not as sinister as some people like to make out. It seems a case of Rahic not being a very nice man to work for which, while unfortunate, is not unique. There are people up and down the country working for arrogant, stubborn, disrespectful bosses. Some people can't work under those circumstances and walk, some people are mentally tough enough to just get on with it. Let's hope Hopkin is the latter. If the football side improves, I guarantee that 80% of City fans will lose interest in what is or isn't happening off the pitch.

Chris Short has gone up in my estimation for this. At least he's come out and directly spoken about the issues rather than giving vague rumours or hinting at things.
The forum has been full of people saying we haven't been fit since the PP/Allenby days recently so it is possible that Rahic had a point but clearly the way he went about it left a sour taste.Jay, WilsdenBantam, The Evidence and 6 others like this. -

The worst thing about this article, is it is another damning article, under the banner of Bradford City FC.
Irrespective of what, whom, why, I really am sick of the negativity and the ill dissent around the club.

It isn't great for a philosophy which is about building for the long term, if people keep leaving because they can't work with the boss.
Football is a business, it isn't just about the product on the pitch although that is the swan we see. If we are to get to the Championship, then the activity behind the scenes will be key. We won't do it just by having a 'good' manager. Our owner's abrasive style is going to hinder us in the long term, as well as in the immediate future.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Maybe Edin doesn't want anyone at the club who knows football more than he does.

We have never looked as fit as we did under Nick Allamby ever since he left we've looked slightly jaded..
However that's not really the point and I guess if Edin is having a say in the fitness sessions this again points to him sticking his oar in where it's not needed. He really doesn't help himself.Utters0, Tolly856, bantam2708 and 3 others like this. -

It's just another sign that things are not going well at all. Folk can brush it off or make excuses for Edin all they like, a few more weeks of abject performance on the pitch might be what is required, same as people are saying an upturn in performance will make those critical of our owners maybe less vociferous. It may not. It's pretty much all down to Hopkin now and the appetite this squad have to turn it round. Any short comings on quality we have, and there appear to be a few including injuries, are going to have to be countered by at the very least working our socks off and Hopkin getting us doing the basics right. It might not be enough over the season though. I hope he is just left to get on with it and can somehow turn it round.
