    Oh dear, that is sad news. My condolences to his friends and family.

    When reading his posts I'd often think 'just where is he going with this?' But it usually made sense by the end of a paragraph or three. More often than not, after a couple of tangential detours, involving cooking, a previous job or anything else he could weave in.

    Very sad news. I had many a run-ins with Ronnie over the years. His non-sensical rants would often leave me confused but amused. He'll be missed on here.

    Chris was indeed a character and uniquely left his mark on our Forum. Absolutely gutted he has lost his battle, he seemed invincible and showed the same sort of resilience that were very often the spine of his postings.An irreplaceable and irrepressible force I will miss his presence on here and the odd pm we used to commit to..RIP Chris God bless you mate. May I thank Dave for alerting us to his passing, the one time I wasn't on here looking for an in anticipation of the worst.
    So very sad.

    That’s so sad, I know he had been struggling with health problems for some time.
    Ronnies posts were unique in that you could read them and immediately know who had written them without reading the posters name.

    I haven’t tried to hide who I am and I know I will be banned, but I just wanted to add my own heartfelt condolences to Debbie, Mackenzie and the rest of Chris’ family. When Dave (Bronco) emailed me this sad news on Monday, I was gutted.

    Dave, Chris and I built a good relationship over the years and we would occasionally email each other, especially during my periods of being banned. On a few occasions we were meant to meet up for a pint, but sadly Chris’ health stopped this (or so he told me ;-) ).

    He was a great contributor to this site and will be sorely missed by those that read or contribute.

    RIP Chris mate and condolences to all the North family xx
