The accents were really funny at first but I got used to them. One thing that struck me was at the very end when they were showing real life photos and film, the actors who were playing the 3 managers in the dock were dead ringers for the real people

 

It's good but it's not the best thing ever. I like the regional British accents they've used instead of a Russian twang. I also like the 24 hour fags and vodka culture.

 

It’s all that’s wrong with today. Nowadays, folk would frown at a nuclear reactor being overseen by workers having a few innocent vodkas and fags. Nanny state.

 

Emily Watson, a very prolific actress. I remember her most from Angela's Ashes, Gosford Park and tv drama Apple Tree Yard

 

Excellent series. I'm actually off there next month. Flights only 50 quid to Kiev from Tallinn, and then it's a hundred quid for a day tour up to Chernobyl. Not sure I'll be bringing back any souvenirs - ones that I can see anyway

The Russians have typically come out and said the programme was mainly a lie and exaggerated!. They are now going to make their own version and tell us all the truth.

But yes Frank, it was a superb drama, very scary at the same time

 

I Work in the industry. The story of the responding firefighters is heartbreaking. I think I need to see the mini series too.

 

Agreed great show, such intense story telling throughout. Not a show that relies on high action and special effects, just good acting and a very well written piece.

 

I plan to watch it, loads of folk have been saying how good it is at telling the story.

 

The lady scientist in it looks really familiar but I can't remember what I've seen her in.

 

I know what you mean. The male scientist kept reminding me of Ade Edmondson! Gripping stuff though

 

Brilliant series compelling if at times difficult watch.

 

Loved it, the writing, acting, filming, all 10/10 and if the thyroid cancer doesn’t get you surely lung cancer will with all them fags.
