It’s so unappealing, even I’m not going. Awful draw.

 

U18's playing Stockton tonight, usual pre match checks, you can hear them for miles but can't usually hear what is said on the pitch at HT.

 

Seeing as it isn't available to watch on tellybox, is commentary on t'wireless available.

 

I'm sure BBC Radio Leeds will have it, but Leeds and Huddersfield are 3.00pm ko's so you'll have to search for it on their 3 channels ...

 

I'm pretty sure that Jamie Raynor said on the latest podcast that commentary would be available via the website as well as it is the FA Cup.....

From the Cheltenham fans on twitter, it sounds like their ticket sales are low for this one too.

 

Pretty standard these days, if the tie was reversed I doubt we'd get more than 5-6,000. It doesn't look like our sales are as expected as the extra section we were given is closed now so all our fans are in the 1 stand. Luton's game tonight is very empty and earlier I saw this from Rotherham that as of 10am yesterday they had sold 1,100 tickets for their home game against Swindon.

Yeah it's just the state of play for the early rounds of the cup these days unless it's a NL club at home. Will be a lot of low attendances all weekend in the cup. Not a lot of magic in the cup until round 3.

 

Always looked a reet miserable bugger.

 

Even in the 3rd round unless it's a big tie or the home team's fans need to attend to get priority for future rounds there can be a few low attendances, last season Sheff Utd had 6,000 (albeit it was a Thursday night but still it was low), Hull only had 10,000 against Doncaster with 2,500 away fans, Sunderland only had 15,000 against Stoke.

Attendances for a lot of clubs seem to be more based on the opposition than the competition. I can see why fans in the Championship especially don't get as bothered as most teams make a lot of changes so it ends up being a reserve game.

It's a shame really - the FA Cup used to be a a great competition and now it gets Papa John's level attendances. People will soon come out of the woodwork though should we get through and get a big team in the third round.

 

Hopefully see a few faces out in the towns great pubs despite the 'boycott'....and possibly even Cooky making his first start.

 

Add to that, Christmas is just around the corner with all the expense that goes with it especially for parents

 

Add to that we play Plymouth in 2 weeks which is the same driving route (de-javu) and twice the distance.
