Indeed it was and the players more or less downed tools for the rest of the season.

Average 4+ yellow cards per match this season. Usually refs lower level games. https://www.soccerbase.com/referees/referee.sd?referee_id=2698

Good news for those planning to go to Cheltenham by train on Saturday, it is my understanding that the strike has been called off and there is enough time to reinstate most/all of the scheduled services.

Wonder how many we've sold. Hopefully trains back on will encourage a few more.
Got 5 coming from West Oxfordshire over the border for pints and cheer the lads on.

Can’t see a match thread, but just wanted to know if the game is on iFollow tomorrow. Not sure it is? If not iFollow is it being broadcast anywhere else?

Hopeful of a good game and a win. We know GA takes all games seriously regardless of the competition, so hopefully we’ll have a good run this season as it’s been a while since we’ve progressed in the FA Cup.

    Don’t think it’s available anywhere.

Obviously it’s filmed but seem to remember last season you couldn’t watch any games not being shown by the main broadcasters either legally or by way of a dodgy Firestick.

In the past hasn't the BBC been "around the grounds " and showed goals across the games as they go in

Away ticket sales for this one have been so poor that Cheltenham Town have now decided to only make the Hazlewood Stand available for City supporters. This is going to be one of our lowest away followings for some time (and that includes the Trophy matches as well).

Given the ticket prices, and the comments on this thread, I'm not surprised that so many have decided to boycott this fixture. The rail strike (now suspended at late notice) will not have helped either.

I was just jogging near Bolton Road and the stadium just made some kind of announcement but it was hard to hear. Anyone have any idea? Maybe a safety check?

TNT now hold the rights, to the FA Cup, from this season and for the first round they will show 8 live matches. TNT then have a sub-licensing deal with the BBC, which allows the BBC to show two matches from each round up to the quarter finals, plus one semi-final and the final.

The two BBC matches in the first round are:
    • Brackley Town v Notts County (BBC2 - kick off Saturday 17:30); and
    • Eastleigh v Walsall (BBC2 - kick off Sunday 14:15)
The BBC matches are also two of the eight matches being shown on TNT.

Thanks for this Staff. Any idea what TNT has to gain from preventing clubs showing the game to overseas subscribers? I am baffled as to why, despite the ease of doing so, TNT, the FA, or the Emirates, will not allow clubs to add it to their international output.

Is it TNT blocking it? Or is it because iFollow/Bantams TV is commissioned by the Football League to cover Football League games whereas the the TV contracts for the FA Cup are (self evidently) with the FA not the EFL.
Genuine question. I don’t know the answer.

TNT have the domestic broadcasting rights for the FA Cup but only outside of the Saturday 3pm cut-off. TNT have granted rights to BBC Soorts to broadcast some games. The international broadcasting rights are held by a plethora of broadcasting companies, other than TNT, in most other countries. From memory, TNT only has the rights in Germany and that is being shared with other broadcasters. But again it's all limited to the games outside of the 3pm cut-off. There are about another 10 FA Cup games being broadcast outside of the 3pm window.

It looks as though it's the FA which is enforcing that restriction since after all, it's their competition and their rule! Why they are doing this defeats me.
