Problem is we had at least two players every bit as incompetent as the ref :)

There's always gonna be defeatism following a defeat but it's interesting to read.:p

I think it’s a bit of evening itself out we have played some successful sides in those games and some physical and direct teams which we usually struggle but draws with Stevenage Barnsley and Lincoln are decent results for a promoted team.

Your view of the game is reflected in the xG for the game; Cheltenham 0.87 City 2.97. Or of you prefer the English interpretation .. Cheltenham had a few chances and would expect to have scored a single goal. City had more and possibly better chances and should have expected to have scored 3. Unfortunately the result of the game is rightly determined by those who score from their opportunities and not by those who simply expect to. These things are part and parcel of competitive sport.

OK we lost. We had the best chances but failed to score. It happens in football, especially in the cup. Wimbledon lost at home to Gateshead. Who would have predicted that? As for people questioning Cooky have a quiet word with yourselves. Lad has had a potential career ending injury, fighting his way back physically and mentally. Where would we be as a club without him?

I get making a few changes to rest key players and give second string players a chance

But 7-8 changes is the reason we have not won this game
Our bench is league 2 standard and these are the results we saw too many times last year

Simon Parker says Gillingham had thirty shots against them and failed to score but today they got a goal in controversial circumstances and then got ten men behind the ball I doubt there were many of the shots were clear cut chances

Exactly. Lincoln got knocked out today so we could’ve played it on the Saturday of the second round weekend.

We must have one of the worst FA Cup records of football league sides. This season is my 22nd season supporting the club we have only won 19 ties with 5 of them coming in the 14/15 run, since that run we've won 7 ties in 11 seasons making it past the 1st round only 5 times.

Looking at todays results were not alone in being disappointed to lose to a League Two or none League club, Barnsley H, Northampton, Reading H, Rotherham H, Lincoln, Stevenage H, Wimbledon H, Wigan going through on penalties, not that it makes our defeat easier to take.

So from what I can gather the ref gave a free kick to them and then blew his whistle for the free kick to be taken. It was taken then he blew his whistle again -what half a second later? We stopped , they didn't and the goal stands? Never ever seen or heard of that ever. Bizarre decision. Would like to hear what the powers that be make of that.

Though it seems we couldn't score in a brothel today. How many actual proper goal scoring chances has T Wright had this season that he has squandered?

its all about cook, he has had his day, impact player at best. Humphreys bit lazy for me.
swan has to be first choice ,he plays every game giving his best never stops running,
I watch every game he is the best we got service to him in the first few games was spot on
every player was harassing the opposition that seems to have stopped now.

Not sure our bench was League Two standard today : C. Kavanagh, J. Hilton, S. Humphrys, C. Kelly, J. Metcalfe, J. Neufville. A. Pattison, W. Swan, I. Touray, the majority starters in recent games.

Robert Massey-Ellis today’s referee is married to female referee Sian Massey who must be a better ref than her husband
