Many of these players today who started will only see vertu trophy games from here on in.

That’s an awful result.
I know there’s a few fans who don’t care about the cup, but it would have been nice to have a run.

Lower league clubs putting weak sides in
No one takes these cups seriously these days

 

Back to back draws and now a loss.

Nothing to worry about is there.

 

Why would we worry? The early rounds are in the calendar. Its not like we will get a fixture pile up.

Its a kop out excuses like that. Today is poor for the club no matter what spin you put on it.

 

There were extenuating circumstances for our run of draws recently but that's a terrible result today. I think a few players over the last few weeks have shown they're not up to this level.

 

We took it seriously… hust not good enough.. a proper striker needed asap

It should be interesting to hear why we stopped defending in the first minute, and what the referee said to Alexander at half time.

 

The one (very) minor positive of losing today is that Plymouth also lost so if the game against them is postponed then there's no reason the game can't be rearranged for 2nd round weekend rather than a Tuesday night

 

Alexander sent off at the final whistle.

 

Seems strange that we put stronger teams out in the Trophy and Carling cup, but arguably a weaker side in a cup that is financially better for the club. Oh well..
