There is a later one if that helps
    Manchester Piccadilly -> Cheltenham Spa

I realise you can go via Manchester but it’s a right faff and it’s expensive.
Your example shows £28 from Leeds to Piccadilly, is that one way or return?
Manchester to Cheltenham the date is January so I assume prices would be different but in any case it looks like around £100 return. I think I’ll give it a miss and pump some more co2 into the sky.
Public transport in this country really is an embarrassment

£22 match ticket price seems a little steep for FA Cup 1st round, no?

Cheltenham maybe banking on us bringing a good away following for extra revenue.

Unless you are a ‘loner’, then why not car share and split the cost with another three, or get one of the Supporters Coach’s like: The Corn Dolly, Shippers, or Bingley Bantams?

They've actually reduced the prices on their normal league prices, adult tickets in the away stand in the league are £27.50 in advance or £29.50 on the day which is ridiculous for league 2.

Looking around some of the usual teams who charge a lot this game is the most expensive that I can see, most are £15 even Crewe which I'm a bit surprised about considering what they charge in the league.

Milking that golden cow? Don’t they realise it’s a fair few miles away.

    A £10 would be excessive !

I've looked at thier ticket site, Most home supporters are being charged £15, a few £22, looks like we're paying top whack whatever ticket you buy.

Page 3 of the FA document sets out the criteria for price charging.

It says clubs must liaise to agree prices.

The last sentence of the paragraph alludes to ‘different prices’.

So the question must be why has City agreed to allow them to charge £22 for City fans and £15 for home fans. Surely there should be a parallel option? Alternatively they should have made it all £15.

Questions for the Supporters Board and Supporters Trust to put to the club?

Perhaps @Bradford End@Bradford End could helpfully offer some perspective?

I have decided to give the game a miss.

The answer is simple (although that doesn't make it right):

Cheltenham charge a higher price for the two more modern seated stands (the away end and additionally one side which, for this match, we will partly occupy). The home end is terraced and the other side consists of the old seated main stand and more terracing.

Well maybe City fans will decide not to go as it is one expensive trip too much. We have had several expensive away trips since the start of the season. Which ever way you go to Cheltenham bus, train or drive it is expensive.

I believe that there is an overriding principle (I can't recall whether that's an FA rule or one used by the EFL and PL) that away fans and home fans should pay the same amount for comparable accommodation. That's how it's organised at VP and most other clubs. Away fans in the TL Dallas pay the same as home fans elsewhere in the ground. As @Stafford Bantam@Stafford Bantam suggests, both sets of fans at Cheltenham pay more for the seated areas than the terraced areas which seems fair and looks to comply with the FA's/EFL's overriding principle. It just so happens that their away areas are all seated and our fans pay for that. Whether £22 for a seat in the first round is good value or not is a different matter!

Am extra 450 tickets given to us.

Here's hoping as we missed out on stevenage and living down cheltenham way, very keen to watch this one, a change to the 7 hour monthly round trip for home games!

Anyone with two or three stevenage tickets they don't need give me a shout!
