Talk down to you when? Show me one example. I've joined the forum as I have and always have had an interest in Bradford City Football Club, I've just never had a reason to join the forum until we've found ourselves in the same league again.

I was disappointed with the result against Walsall on Saturday. I want Bradford to stay up. I was happy with Sunderland's result on Saturday, I want Sunderland to go up.

After the game against Rovers me and some others were reflecting on Wyke's poor performance and it being what we think is the polar opposite of how he performed at Bradford City last season. It was suggested that he could/should go back on loan to gain some confidence and see if he can start scoring again, it would be beneficial to both Bradford City and Sunderland AFC, given that you're struggling and Wyke's confidence is clearly low on Wearside. It was then suggested that when he signed for us at the start of the season he probably expected to be playing Championship football next season as Sunderland AFC's main target is promotion. If Bradford get relegated, would he want to go back and drop what he might see as two divisions, whether we get promoted or not?

I posted the thread clealy looking to get opinions on this and you've taken offense to it when others have given for and against arguments. Why?

Why would we be looking at who Newcastle could loan us? It has absolutely nothing to do with this thread or BCFC past players yet if I went slightly off-topic you'd be the first to jump out at it.

Frankly we are not at a stage that we could experiment with ‘helping’ players, we have our quota of loan players, and finally sometimes a return doesn’t work out. So perhaps it is best that we are left with our memories and that Charlie/Sunderland sort out issues ‘in house’, or he goes on loan next season.

Touch wood. He's been excellent the last couple months. Involved in 6 goals in the last 6 games. The player we were promised.

    Feed the Wyke.

Your lot were booing him off the field not that long ago, reading your forum most couldn't wait to see the back of him. A few good games and he's the best thing since sliced bread. He'll be shite again i guess when he's had a couple of bad games.

Exactly the same as we treat any of our strikers.
No difference at all, look at mcburnie never given the chance he deserved .

Can't compare to McBurnie. Oli was the wrong player at the wrong time, was never booed by the fans and would never have fit into a Phil Parkinson side. Swansea coming with a transfer fee also negated a run in the side. You are right in your first sentence, just makes me laugh how fans are quick to do a u turn on their thoughts.

Neither could I. I say this in the OP. He's improved. He's winning every header and chasing down every loose ball, complete opposite of how he was before. Perhaps his injuries didn't help.

He hasn't suddenly changed overnight. And i'm not one for the injury conspiracy. Fans seem to use it when a player starts doing well after they've berated a player. Wyke is what he is, a decent league 1 players. He'll give you 100% every game despite what some of our fans thought of him. He'll hold the ball up well, win you free kicks while battling centre backs. No pace, physical but not a dominator of centre halfs. A good team player if you use him right. Glad to see him winning the fans over, he seemed a genuinely nice guy the times i spoke to him.

Maybe you should be worried about hanging on to him now then rather than looking for some struggling league one team to loan him to?

Possibly. However, I'm not too sure why there are/were so many against him coming back to Bradford City on loan.

There weren't. We'd take him in a breath, especially in league 2.

I suppose my view, is that often a players return to a club is not as successful as the first time round.

Things move on, coming back 'on loan' after all that has happened would be strange.

I think he would have a 'failed at Sunderland' psychological Albatross to contentd with.

Charlie had a good spell with us, but if he is not a success at Sunderland, then may be he needs to go somewhere else.

For every Campbell, McCall and Windass there is a Jackson, Ormondroyd, Clarke, Gray etc.

For Charlie's sake and in the interest of City, then I wish him well, but time to move on.

Wyke despite his size doesn’t lead the line well. He does have an eye for goal and he is better playing off another big forward

Anyone who wouldn't take Charlie Wyke, especially in league two is probably "just happy to have a club to support".

Absolutely mind boggling when you consider the crap we've just witnessed.
