Charlie Wyke

Almost all his goals were headers.

I can't remember the stat banded around at the time, but yeah, just headers more or less.

 

I remember watching last night on quest and seeing him miss those sitters, and I just thought what on earth. Alot of his goals were, as said, headers, but he would of scored at Least one of them at city! I don't think he will be coming back on loan, he is good enough for a mid table team, maybe someone like a Fleetwood

I think Michael Proctor , or Benjani or Tore Andre flo would be a head of wyke .

He has a dry spell towards the end of his tenure here but... when he first signed he looked Championship quality at times ... I remember I was in Tenerife and he scored a Garrick against Bristol rovers live on Sky

Guy was on fire ...... you have will grigg now. I doubt wyke will come back here even on loan

 

Those misses are inexcusable!

 

Only if you're judging them on their hold up play and how many headers they win, which is how our fans seem to judge strikers strangely.

 

And I bet you’ve seen some bad strikers in your time?

He’s getting in the right positions at least. Had no pre season, got a bad injury and is playing with an expectancy now with a decent price he came to you for.

He was never a world beater at city. But was good in the box and linked up well at times. However under McCall we played good football and it wasn’t lumped up to him too much.

 

He'd compliment Doyle superbly

 

Let’s face it, going forward he’s exactly what we’re missing at the moment.

Not a chance is hell he will be coming back here though.

 

Wyke is a better player for me

His confidence looks shot to bits judging by the games i’ve watched of your lot. To look at Wyke you’d think that he’d be the strong hold up target man but thats not really his game. He can hold the ball up well but he won’t physically dominate a centre back say like a John Marquis or a Tom Eaves. He ain’t blessed with pace either so he’ll struggle to run the channels for you. He was a decent player for us but he is what he is, a really nice lad but not much better than most of the other strikers in league 1.
Infact there are quite a few better, you’d have been better off with Keiffer Moore or John Marquis, both have the ability to play at Championship level, in my opinion Charlie Wyke does not.

 

he will go to Scunny in the summer and they will win league
