Championship Manager

Found an old copy of Championship Manager 01/02 season. 3-0 down at home against Leeds after 60 mins and came back to win 4-3. I cheered. Its only a computer game but there is something nice about beating Leeds even on a laptop. Sad me

 

Colin Hoyle used to be decent on that version from memory

 

Supposedly theres an update where you can have 2020 players in the old versions of the game. I wouldn't bother though if i was you as West Ham had some decent players in those days. We had Carbone

 

Thats exactly the link I used. You need to burn it onto a CD once downloaded. You can do some fancy stuff where you trick the computer into thinking their is an external drive but that went over my head. Many laptops dont come with disc drives anymore but external ones connected via usb are surprisingly cheap from £10-20. You can then get hold of many games for free or for a few pounds. Only difference is the graphics. Playability spot on. ive found my spectrum in the garage. I'm off to see if it works and then play Horace and the Spiders

 

Happy to recommend some champ man must buys. Taribo West free transfer, Bakirilogue (sure I’ve spelt that wrong) Mark Kerr and Tonton Zola Moukoko. Champ man legends. I agree with you about best version. Great balance. Later versions you had to get too involved. Tip. Don’t look at how long you’ve played a game. You’ll feel a bit guilty
