ChampIons League & Europa League

This has to have been one of the best and highest quality seasons of top level English football I’ve seen.

The premier league title race has been incredible with Man City and Liverpool setting an amazing pace throughout the entire season.

Now we have a dominant English showing in both European competitions and we’ve seen some incredible games of football along the way.

All we need now is England to win the Nations League in the summer!

 

That match last night was amazing, two really good sides. Ajax’s young team were unlucky, but Spurs strength of character to keep going was amazing, something they often seem to lack when the pressure is on at the back end of the season. I’m really pleased for Spurs, I’ve liked their approach for years, they have plenty of faith in young English players, so it’s nice to see them get there. Liverpool are similar, again, they’ve been brilliant this season. What a final, honestly not sure who I want to win. It’ll probably be drab 0-0 and a pen shootout

With the CL final just days before our Semi-Final that could play against us.

Superb week of football though, who says we need a winter break...

 

So, due to work I missed Liverpool game. School team was playing in a semi final so I head down. Another teacher says "did you see Barcelona, 4-0"? I thought Liverpool might have scraped a draw and said so. Then he says "no. Liverpool won 4-0". Could have knocked me down with a feather. Then, next day watching Spurs, 2nd half, Ajax gone 2 up, bollocks, going to catch some sun. Come back in and Spurs have won. A mental really, jealous of you lot who saw both games, and how on Earth did their fans deal with it in the stadia? Still not as unbelievable as Villa or Chelsea away in the cups,
