Bit early for me ;-)

 

From a selfish point of view, I like the 12.30 kick offs.

If I'm attending it means no faffing around on a Saturday morning and then get the game done, have a couple of post-match beers and then get back home in time to do stuff in the evening.

 

Great for home games, shite for away games. That said, if im not going, its on the red button so I can watch anywhere.

 

We do have a good record for 1230 KO's and if we win long may they continue, also.. it free's up most of my saturday.. so i don't mind tbh

 

I hate 12.30 pm KOs normally - should be sat around a table eating at that time.

However, this time i’m glad of it as need to be in Manchester Co-Op for a gig on the evening

 

Not very good for those who travel to home and away games. It’s a very early start but it is good to be home early evening

 

I don't mind 12.30 KO... a lot more time for post match analysis and other nonsense in the pub and then the Karachi and home for the usual time.

 

It’s 14:30 for me over here. Not too bad, but 17:00 allows me to get things done with her indoors throughout the day. When I was with the boy over for the dogs game, it was nice getting up early, breakfast and a pint before kickoff at lunchtime, but I want him to also experience the 3pm kickoff which is much more sociable before and afterwards.
Plus point, is that the local sheep will be relieved that anyone chasing them, will probably be too knackered from the 4h early set off to have any amorous intentions.

I hate this 12.30 nonsense accordingly .

 

Glad I read this, I'd have been rocking up to VP at half two wondering where everyone was.
Half twelve kick offs suck until the games finish when you realise you've got the rest of the day to watch the 3pm kick offs.

 

I am a traditionalist and prefer 15:00 KOs too. Don’t mind the 12:30s for getting home earlier.

Midweek games though…. don’t know why but I’ve really stopped enjoying them in the last couple of years. It’s just a chore to go into Bradford on a night.

 

I agree.. I must be getting soft in my old age but traipsing from the car or bus on a cold,wet night and freezing solid while trying to enjoy a game with a subdued atmosphere. Isn't something I look forward too. Think I'll watch the Stockport game on telly. (plastic blah blah).

 

It should be 3pm kick off for me, 12.30 to suit sky, I'd like to see the viewing figures for those games, not worth doing it.

 

I don't think had a bad run at all this season. So far I think only 2 have been moved from Saturday 3pm for TV (Huddersfield at home and Rotherham away) and Huddersfield was always going to be moved for police reasons. Plymouth away was 12:30 due to FA regulations. We're just in a big of coincidental run of fixtures that happen to be against top sides (excluding Doncaster) which were likely to be picked by Sky because of how well we are doing. The March selections will be out in a couple of weeks and I can't really see any of them being high on Sky's list. April could be similar to this run with Stevenage, Barnsley and Bolton back to back weekends, I'd be surprised if at least 1 of them doesn't get picked with Bolton the most likely.

Going forward this is something that we have to get used to that not every Saturday game will be 3pm due to the new TV deal and if we were to be promoted there would be even fewer with 4 weekends automatically wiped out for internationals plus 5 Championship games are picked every week so that will mean more games moved with some Friday 8pm and Sunday 12pm games.

 

I used to love evening games. Get a curry at the Nawaab or more recently Food2Go have a beer etc, but it's such a slog from Manchester now. I'm just getting old!

 

Friday evenings are a complete no no here. Family always round in the evening, not changing that for anything.

If it’s cold out and the game is on the telly I don’t bother with midweek games.
