They are currently in the North West Counties League Premier division, having just missed out on promotion. So, as @Tony Wilkinson states, they are at level 9.
What did for them in the end, was having to play around 10 matches in the last 20 days of the season, as the ground they were sharing became unplayable for much of the season. Back at Gigg Lane, I would expect them to get 2 or 3 quick promotions, after that it becomes a bit trickier, as they come up against other clubs with money to spend.

We need to get the main stand operational by the first league game of the season in 3 weeks as under north west counties rules you have to have at least 3 sides open .
I am not sure what works are required - all the aesthetics from a fan point of view are done, must be some more technical safety things that are required now .
Vandals were in causing trouble in the intervening years and of course anything of value was removed by previous owners
But I am confident we will be fine . Hopefully the game against PNE gows without hitch today and the council / police will allow us to increase capacity limits .
Then it will be just down to the boys on the pitch -
Morning all.
First league game is tomorrow
Just to update you on the Bury situation.
We finally got the news on Tuesday night that we could fully open 2 stands ( the 2 that were partly open for our game with you )
That gives us 5500 spaces .
So thanks again for helping ito make this possible .
We still await what we will be allowed in the main stand ( yes the game is tomorrow ) but will be very restricted - think in the hundreds .
We have 1500 season tickets . General tickets went on sale Wednesday morning and as of last night we had sold 2600 .
So over 4000 total on.
Whilst we might not make it anyway and it may not be possible because of capacity we will be heading towards the NWCFL agate record of 6023 ( ironically when FC United of Manchester played at Gigg )
Going to be some party - just hope it all goes well on and off the pitch and that plenty come back for future gamesStafford Bantam and SelbyFan like this. -

Three deadlines for Bury's owner, Steve Dale, to produce the relevant paperwork (re funding) this week. If he fails to do so, then:
- Today - Next Saturday's match against Tranmere will be suspended;
- Wednesday - the currently suspended League Cup match, against Sheffield Wednesday, will be referred to the competition's management committee (effectively they will be thrown out of the competition).
- Friday - Bury will be thrown out of the Football League.

As touched on in earlier posts, the EFL have confirmed what will happen if Bury are expelled later this week:
- Only 3 Clubs to be relegated from League One
- Still four Clubs to be promoted from League Two

One thing I don't understand is who currently owns Gigg Lane. Two or three seasons ago, prior to Dale getting involved, the then owners (both property developers!) took Gigg Lane as collateral for the loans provided by them to fund the promotion push. I don't know whether they now own Gigg Lane or whether it is still in the ownership of the club or whether Dale has squirreled it away somewhere. I suspect who owns the ground will have a big sway in Bury's future. As @Allotment Bantam posted, the only good thing is that irrespective of who owns it, the ground has already been registered as a Community Asset.Allotment Bantam likes this. -

Former Bury FC director chains herself to drainpipe to save club

Totally agree @Edin Nowhere
The Nevilles or anyone else would be mad to prop up Dales reckless administration of the club.
Despite the PR from Dale I suspect he's no intention of selling and will asset strip the carcass of club before disappearing in to the sunset.
The EFL need to strengthen the rules around ownership and give themselves the power to step in and take action when they can see the mess clubs like Bury and Bolton get into. Even if that involves taking over the running of clubs.
It amazes me how the EFL just sits back and let's this kind of thing happen.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Onside likes this.
