Never been a fan of the oval shaped ball game but it's always sad to see things like this happen in any sport and in any town or city. Think the couldn't care less attitude is a bit sad really.

Sad to see people openly happy/not caring about this. Only people that suffer here are Bradfordians, once again. Wether you like the Bulls or not, it’s another business moved away from the city.

I’m a (or was) a Bulls fan, attended regularly as a kid, and I must admit, I’m not bothered...I don’t like the closed shop way RL is run in the UK. Also, the way the Bulls have been mismanaged over the last few years has left a very sour taste.

But then I suppose, I never really took took to the Bulls like the unconditional way I did with City.

That a fair point, i used to go regularly to the Bulls for the best part of 20 years but even years ago there was an inevitability about how the stadium would end up. The last time i went ironically was to watch the England world cup games a year ago. It was a sorry sight looking out from the hospitality area in the stand and reminiscing of the Bulls halcyon years where the stadium would be regularly holding crowds of around 15,000. A shame really when you think about and the rapid decline of sport in the Bradford area. I don't think Odsal will be the last sporting decline over the next couple of decades in this dying City.

At least when they start playing up at Dewsbury, they’ll be able to see how it’s done. I work just down the road from there. The all weather training pitches at the side are in use almost every night, and not just for Rugby. The car park’s used for learner motorcyclists everyday, the conference facilities are regularly used by workers who don’t have a base to meet up, British Gas, AA etc. They’ll be making a nice little sum other than just on match days. The stadium is tidy too. Even the car boot is decent on a Sunday....The Bulls would do well to replicate something like that in Bradford, perhaps with a slightly bigger stadium.

Peterborough is one of the most quickly expanding towns in the UK in terms of business, housing and jobs despite being a fair trek from london and a second class citizen to it's big city neighbour. Their councillors are probably equally on the take and squaring their own agendas but it shows what a bit of forethought and positive attitude can achieve.

The couldn't care less attitude is pathetic not sad. It also reflects selfish societal views in general in this day and age.

It was always going to be a problem for the Bulls when the endless supply of taxpayers money was turned off by the council, Now on their own two feet with no taxpayer money they are having to cope with the reality that they need to finance themselves much like City have done over the years, As for Odsal stadium ( Wembley of the North Joke ) It is and has always been a dump unsuitable for professional sport and should be filled in for tipping bringing in £millions in fees and then redeveloped,
As a suggestion With the £20 odd million tipping fees it would bring in and a developer bringing in a hotel and shopping centre etc using the Richard Dunn site as well as the Odsal site it would finance a stadium that could home both the Bulls and BCFC in four to six years time in a modern purpose built stadium,

You have to think back to the bad management that caused the downfall of this great super league team in it's day, hang your head in shame Caisley you have to take a large part of the blame for the demise of professional rugby in Bradford.
Moving to Dewsbury could be the beginning of the end for rugby in Bradford they will still get there hard core but can the club survive on those numbers ?.

Bradford Council offered the Bulls a loan to stay at Odsal. The owner turned it down.

This is ridiculous now. Someone needs to start banging some heads together. We've got us coming towards the end of our lease and the Bulls in absolute dire straights. The time is NOW to get a plan in motion for a site fit for all. In the mean time let them play at VP for peppercorn rent.

Is Rupp here for the duration or is he still wanting to sell if someone matches his asking price? This could actually be a long term investment for him if he were to look into it seriously.

I think what has stopped them going to VP wasn’t the rent we wanted but work needed for the pitch to be playable all year. City wanted Bulls to pay for the work

Yes, that's a problem but not an insurmountable one. A holistic approach for both teams to come under one banner is the way forward. Team Bradford or some such name.

No doubt the council would offer a loan, As far as am aware the last loan to the Bulls from the taxpayer has yet to be fully repaid yet the council play free and easy with more council tax money and still offer more loans, Maybe the council have learnt a lesson and wanted a personal guarantee on any loan which I have no doubt would not be acceptable to the owner in case he actually had to pay it back.
