Well as you’ll see the time I’m posting, I can’t sleep as the adrenaline hasn’t wore off after that classic. Two teams who’ll be up there for the title come the end of the season giving it their all, exciting stuff.

And the majority Sunday league at best.
He sould be allowed to develop with no pressure but due to poor recruitment yet again he is the one we are looking at apart from Cook to pull us out of the shit.

We’ve just invested in a Roofe. I’m not sure we need another one.

Worrying times mate, the team is drifting and the so called manager is way way way out of his depth, over now to the 4 amigos!

I don't disagree, but the problem is that whoever replaces him in the starting lineup is generally even less effective. Another example of the glaring issues around our recruitment

He also said that he wants to players to take risks, have shots, dribble, and that he wouldn't have a go if they lost the ball taking a chance. Everything his captain doesn't do yet he starts him week in, week out. At least Hughes had the balls to drop Smallwood, I don't think Alexander ever has and very rarely subs him. If your captain (who very clearly dictates that his teammates should pass backwards, sideways, not take risks and goes mad if they lose the ball) isn't listening, then you've got big issues within the dressing room.

All of that needs to happen in the final third of the pitch, but we don't appear to be tactically set up for that. If what GA says is correct, then Oduor last night should have been driving at their defence as he has the skill to do it. He didn't and we struggled to get him the ball in a position where he could do that.

We only looked a vague threat when we threw caution to the wind and had Pointon and Walker running all over and not worrying about losing the ball. That's the mentality we need to see for 90 minutes.

    That was awful.

Defence did alright until the goal and I think that was Halliday's side. He was crap last night, Benn laid a ball back to him prime to whip it in and he just didn't. On more than one occasion.

But he wasn't the only culprit.

Bobby and Lewis Richards linked up well down the left with both looking to make things happen.

First half Pattison was lost, and he was far too deep. The only thing he did was a surging run at the end of the half, which didn't work but at least it was something. He is a player to do those runs.... but it's like he's hamstrung.

He is not sh&te. He is probably the only player on our books who is good enough to play in league 1

Yes a bit of a mystery the difference between last and this season.

Baldwin will hopefully be back in the starting line-up at Crewe. He looks a decent player to me.

Mind you GA will probably shoehorn Haliday in somewhere, replacing Cook knowing GA's love of square pegs in round holes!

    Agree.
Thought Baldwin looked composed in the short time he was on.

We sit too deep as a defence because we’re scared of the ball over the top as we lack pace. That creates a big void in the middle where the opposition put 3 players to stop anything coming through there. It’s 2 v 3 most games which forces us to go long or wide. Oduor, Walker, Pointon and anyone playing in their role end up collecting the ball on the halfway line or deeper, then having 30 or 40 yards to the box. They’re hardly going to cause problems from that distance. We’re into December now and it’s time to look at how we set up, as the current formation doesn’t work for the greater good. If the manager has to make 4/5 changes every time we go behind, then his original plan is flawed. Small tweaks should be enough to get the upper hand not wholesale changes. Does GA have the tactical nous to take us forward, I fear not.

He is definitely not shite, but in my opinion not league one either, although he may still improve. I think maybe what's holding him back is he's a bit lacking in pace. He has quick feet but isn't that quick covering the ground. I think maybe that's why he seems less effective when he starts, yet can cause havoc when he comes on as sub against tiring opposition.

Really! Funny that he isn’t then and signed a contract with us.

He’s not even an automatic starter with us and when he does start he’s woeful.

They hadn’t a shot on goal prior, not dpdure how that was remotely earned, it was only because they dominated the middle of the field because we didn’t have a middle, they got to do the approach stuff and it fizzled out before the goal.

I put that down to our tactically inept manager who doesn't know how to get the best out of our better players such as Pointon and Jamie Walker.

I bet young Bobby reaches league 1 before Bradford City do if we stick with Alexander.
