Ah yes the usual early season 'it's all about results' shite. Just like last season, the early performances tell you everything you need to know. Stockport were playing well without picking up points, as were MK Dons this season. Low and behold eventually the results start to match the performances.

 

He's the one constant in our midfield struggles in recent seasons. His presence determines the turgid way we play. We need a more dynamic combination that can actually work together instead of operating miles away from each other. Like you I'd have Pattison, Walker and Pointon and tell them that they all have to move forward, and backwards, as a unit. I can't see how we'd possibly any worse without Smallwood.
