    I know the competition is widely derided but I would like to see us take it seriously again as it's served us pretty well in the past. Would be nice to see Cookie with a starting spot and hopefully get at least an hour under his belt and fingers crossed get some of our stronger central defenders back from injury. No reason to not play a really strong 11 out with Saturday's game being postponed.

    Reckon we’ll see Halliday at right WB, Joe Wright, Baldwin and Kelly at CB, Richards or Touray at left WB, Metcalfe and Leigh at CM, Lapslie, Cook and Tyreik Wright as front three. With usual starters on the bench to come on as required to replace those who aren’t yet ready for a full 90 minutes. That starting eleven should have more than enough to overcome the Everton kids.

    Yes, depending on how the physio rates his recovery. But I expect it’ll be off the bench if he does make an appearance

    If we can get a central defence of Pennington, Joe Wright and McIntyre, with Touray and Kelly as reserves and Byrne as back up, then that would be a decent three, subject to Wright performing as he did pre concussion. Agree that Baldwin may well take longer and Tilt could be several weeks away.

    TBH, I forgot about Pennington.

    Not sure where Baldwin is up to with his recovery. I assumed he was fairly close now.

    I imagine it will be a strong team as there's such a gap between matches otherwise there's a risk that the team is really rusty for the next league game.

    It would not surprise me to see Power included. It will be 3 weeks between his last game against Blackpool and the upcoming Barnsley game and it may benefit him to get a run out.

    Getting game time for Kav would be great, with Humphrys misfiring he'll be chomping at the bit to get that extra attacker slot on the bench
