    I too always thought the one at VP was a replica, not being funny but if it is worth about 20k it is very risky having it where it is.
    The provenance of anything like this is the critical thing.

    If it is an auction anything to do with the railways,

    a) it will be cancelled

    b) it will be running late

    c) the auction will be standing room only

    d) the auction will be on a different platform than the one advertised

    e) there will be a price increase for the nameplate, to ensure the future ability of Network rail to fund "further investment"

    Surely something for the Bantamspast museum?

    Not sure what has happened to the collection, since the area where things used to be displayed, is now the 'One in a Million' school, it seems to have gone. Perhaps John Dewhirst or Dave Pendleton could do an update?

    For those who are really fond of railways here is a picture of the old Manningham station!
