A few hours ago the council replied to the video to say as its private land its been referred. I don't know who has the right to that bit of land as there's a takeaway or two, an industrial unit and Citys car park that overlap with it.

To be fair, it's easier to count the streets that aren't left full of crap around the ground. I park on Green Lane if i can and did on Saturday. Walking back up after the game and the amount of just trash left around is unreal. Random clapped out motors scattered all over on Thorncliffe Rd after coming out the stadium and then going onto Grosvenor Road its the same, but worse! Cars cut up to bits, front ends torn off, scrap just sticking out on the streets. There's been a car parked fully on the pavement for weeks, at least the last 3 or 4 home games I've noticed it and it is now littered with parking tickets outside of the car wash.

 

Just looked on Google Maps and straight away you see a prime example of what I mentioned above. Cars parked across the pathways, clearly not in working order. There must of been a good 6 or 7 in a similar or worse condition that this one in the Google Maps image on the walk from VP to this car wash.

Have you seen the Merc car outside the old pub next to the car wash at the Shipley end of Valley Road? I really can't picture the area without it.

Just looked on Google maps, I think we are talking years to how long this has been dumped there. This picture seems to suggest July 2024

 

Drive past it most days. I saw a video online about this car. Someone went through historical Google Images as it's been parked outside that pub since 2008, but on the yearly updates it moved slightly for the first few but it hasn't shifted from that spot and it's tires have been flat since some time between the 2011 and 2012 photos. So it's been left for at least 13 years.

 

At what stage does it become a landmark?
